What you should know
The closest airport to the Nusa Islands is Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) - i.e. Bali. The operators will pick you up from your hotel in Bali on the day of your activity.
You can do the island hopping yourself but you'll need to separately arrange the fast boat transfer from Bali, the driver in Nusa Penida and the snorkelling in Nusa Penida and Lembongan. This basically ensures that you can see the highlights of the incredible Nusa islands around Bali in the fastest and most convenient way!
This doesn't require high levels of fitness - you only need to be able to walk short distances. If you're planning on snorkelling, ideally you should be able to swim (but if you can't do let us know and we can arrange a life jacket!).
Although the islands can be visited at any time of the year, the best time to do the island hopping is from May to September. At this time, the weather is dry and it is easy to explore the islands. Manta Rays also frequent the waters at Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan all year round so anytime is a good time to snorkel there (though rainy season may make visibility a bit poorer).
