What you should know
Pulau Menjangan is a small unspoiled island accessible only by boat. It is part of the Bali Barat National Park, and you cannot spend the night there. The easiest way to visit is via a full-day tour, offered by many companies in Bali. Most tours leave from Pemuteran to the north of the island. It takes an hour by boat to reach Pulau Menjangan.
Having a guide will make travelling to Menjangan a lot easier as it is only accessible by sea. A guide will also be able to lead you to the best snorkelling spots on the island.
No, life jackets will be provided who those who cannot swim.
You may dive all year round in Menjangan island but the best visibility is from October to November. We recommend avoiding the monsoon season from April to October, but it will still be an easy snorkel suitable for beginners.
If you have time, do also explore the West Bali National Park in Menjangan island and enjoy the rare sightings of various species, especially the elusive Rusa Deer. There are also several temples to explore and visit.
If you can't get enough of the underwater world, do also consider diving in Menjangan to get the complete aquatic experience offered.
