You could fly to Dehradun Airport from Delhi Airport (DEL). It will take 50 minutes by plane and cost USD22-95. Then from DED Airport, take a private hire which costs USD8-12 and this journey will take you 21 to 40 minutes to Rishikesh. Alternatively, you could take the train from Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) to Haridwar. You would have to board the Orange Line subway from IGI to New Delhi station. This would take 30 minutes and cost USD1. Then make a transfer at New Delhi station and board the train towards Haridwar. There are a multitude of activities in the Rishikesh area. They range from river rafting for all experience levels, bungee jumping for all adrenaline junkies out there and a whole treasure trove for trekking-enthusiasts.
