Jungle Survival

The only way to feel alive is to come close to the edge. Learning the ways of the jungle will help you experience just that. Finding your food, making your own shelter and forging your way through the brush will help you discover what you're made of. Your guide will be essential in this journey - making sure you not only acquire must-have jungle survival skills but that you also come away feeling renewed.

The jungle is about two hour drive from Kota Kinabalu, the exact location of which is kept a secret. To get to Kota Kinabalu you will need to fly from any of the major airports in Malaysia or many of the regional ones. If you are already in Borneo you can travel overland by bus from a few of the main cities. Your guide will provide transport from your hotel in Kota Kinabalu.

It's one thing to survive in the jungle - it's another to learn more about it and yourself. This is where your guide comes in - he will teach you how to make shelter out of branches, collect water and hunt for food.

You'll need to be in very good physical condition for this as it involves strenuous hiking in hot weather.

Best to avoid monsoon season when it will be rainy (November to February) as you will be exposed to the elements during the entire journey.
