Learn to cook eclectic heritage cuisine from Noei- The Soulful Cook, a former MasterChef SG Top 5 finalist. This is a 3.5-hour private cooking class held in Noei's Pasir Ris home.Work as a team of two to explore the uniqueness of Malay Indonesian (Banjarese) cuisine as Noei teaches you how to recreate the aromatic flavours that she grew up eating- think making paste and sauces from scratch with a pestle & mortar! Noei is a self-taught cook and baker with more than 18 years of experience. As a former MasterChef Singapore Season 2 Top 5 finalist, she earned the title- Soul Woman as she dished out flavours from her childhood. Born and raised in Singapore by a Malay-Bugis father and a Malay-Banjarese Mother who are both fantastic cooks. She grew up watching her mom pottering about in the kitchen and was mesmerized by the simple act of making food.As an autodidact, she can connect with home cooks in an approachable and relatable way, making the kitchen less intimidating. Her motto is simple: “Make it swee!" (Swee: Beautiful in Hokkien).

The Soulful Cook’s eclectic style of cooking is partly inspired by the host's love of spices and flavours. Noei is a self-taught cook and baker with more than 18 years of experience. As a former MasterChef Singapore Season 2 Top 5 contestant, she earned the title; Soul Woman as she dishes out flavors from her childhood. She had contributed and collaborated recipes for BBC Good Food Singapore edition Magazine, The Feed Feed, The Straits Times Newspaper, Zaobao Newspaper, Seasonings Magazine, The Slow Press, That Fish Stall, CS Foods, Just Produce. Appeared in cooking videos for Nespresso Singapore, Mediacorp Suria-Semua OK! , Malay Heritage Centre and SAFRA.
Born and raised in Singapore by a Malay-Bugis father and a Malay-Banjarese Mother who are both fantastic cooks.
