This private trip starts with a pick up in Hanoi and will take you to see the natural and historic points of interest located in the Ninh Binh area: Hoa Lu, ancient capital of Vietnam and Tam Coc, part of the Trang An complex, a UNESCO heritage site, where you will take a sampan boat to explore the area and see caves. What to ExpectFirst you will visit Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam, built in the 10th century. Here you will see Dinh and Le Temple's built by Vietnam's two prominent kings and located in a secluded area with natural protection of forest and river. Your guide will share with you about the history of these kings and their wars with China.Afterwards you will take a traditional sampan boat down Tam Coc River, comprised of various waterways and surrounded by limestone karsts and rice paddies. Many call this area the Halong Bay on land.

Today you will visit the ancient temples and explore the beautiful Tam Coc river on a boat

  • 7:45: Pick up from your hotel in Old Quarter Hanoi and head to Ninh Binh area
  • 10:45 to 12:00: Arrive Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam, built in the 10th century. Visit Dinh’s and Le King’s Temples where you can have more understanding about the history.
  • 12:00 to 13:00: Savour the flavours of special Vietnamese dishes in a local restaurant for lunch.
  • 13:30 to 15:30: Get on a small boat to visit Tam Coc. The local people will take you to discover the beauty of the landscape called “Ha Long Bay On Land”. Later, hop on to the shopping area to check out local embroidery and handcrafts or rent a bike to visit Bich Dong pagoda.
  • 16:00: Get on the bus to return Hanoi
  • 19:00: Reach Hanoi
