In this 2.5 to 3 hours morning tour view the famous elephants as they graze on the grasses growing on the tank bed. One can see about 20% of the evening safari elephant population. You will have the opportunity to see birds, other animals like deers, wild rabbits, wild boar, grey langers, purple-faced leaf monk, fox and water buffaloes. Please Note as the elephants keep migrating between these parks, for better experience, the driver may take you to Kaudulla National Park in the same region without an additional fee.

Asanka is the most passionate guide, very kind and funny, and you can really see he loves and knows his job perfectly. He is well informed about the Asian Elephant’s behaviour, habitat, and their surrounding wildlife. Respecting the elephants, he does not drive too close and also tries his best to avoid the massive crowd of jeeps.
