3-Day Bhirgu Lake Trek

Bhrigu Lake is one of the few glacial lakes in the Kullu valley and is just 24 km from Manali. This beautiful lake sits between two high altitude ridges. While it stays frozen in winter, the lake mirrors the turquoise blue sky during monsoon season. The trail starts at the forest in Gulaba to Rola Kholi. It takes you through precious old villages, inviting apple orchards, clear rivulets, and green pasture lands. This scenery soon changes on the second day as snow-lovers will get to see large chunks of snow patches and, seemingly out of nowhere, Bhrigu Lake will appear.

4-Day Hampta Pass Trek

Hampta Pass got its name from the village Hampta (Hamta) which lies in Kullu valley. Hampta Pass connects the Kullu Valley to Lahaul Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh. Local shepherds use this high altitude pass to take their herds to graze in Lahaul Spiti, where a type of special grass, “Neeru”, grows. It is considered a very good source of nutrients for sheep and goats. Hampta Pass trek is the best trek in the Himalayas for first-time trekkers and there are a number of reasons why it is so famous among amateur trekkers.
