Accommodation in Labuan Bajo

All you need to know about the accommodation in Labuan Bajo!

1. Dragon Dive Komodo Hostel

What we liked

We stayed at the Dragon Dive Komodo Hostel for two nights. You will be greeted with pretty murals and “chill” vibes while you are there. You will also get to meet new people, especially backpackers who are travelling from all over the world or you can dip your feet into the pool while enjoying some alone time. If you are looking to dive during your trip in Labuan Bajo, they also offer a dive centre that you can sign up with.

If you are uncomfortable with sharing rooms with mixed genders, they also offer a dormitory exclusively for women. I personally stayed in the female’s dormitory and it was the best because I had the whole room to myself for two nights. Food and drinks are available upon purchase should you decide to have a meal there.  The shower facilities were decent and they had a water heater which was a plus point.

What we didn’t like

Since it is a shared facility, be sure to lock your items while you are out exploring the place. If you are an early sleeper, it may be hard to fall into a deep slumber as many of them tend to sleep really late and they sometimes hold drink parties as well.

2. Green Hill Bed Station

What we liked

From clean facilities, private beds, air-conditioned rooms, water dispenser, wifi and a rain shower. This hostel is like a dream. If you are in Labuan Bajo as a backpacker or if you’re simply there on a budget, I would highly recommend for you to check out this spot; you’ll not be disappointed.

What we didn’t like

It’ll be great if they could provide complimentary breakfast or drinks such as tea or coffee sachets but we understand that such privilege is hard to find at a hostel.

3. Rafida Liveaboard

What we liked

The entire stay on-board the boat was fantastic. From the crew to the day to day activities, to the food and the shower and sleeping facilities. Rafida Liveaboard is like a 5-star boat stay. The crew are really sensitive to your needs and allergies. They will also prepare freshly made sambals, meals and snacks for you and there were games onboard and comfortable and clean beanbags for you to take an afternoon nap while the boat is cruising through the ocean.

What we didn’t like

It would’ve been nice if they had a water-heater for you to take a warm shower in. Especially if you had just done a wet activity like snorkelling or diving.
