Last updated: 02 Dec 2022 - 12 min read

Switch up your date routine and explore new activities such as graffiti, mangrove kayaking and even pizza making! Doing new things together definitely spices up new and old relationships :)

1

Head Back into Singapore's Swinging 1960s!

This is a really fun and unexpected experience for a date. Plus it's only an hour so you can have dinner & drinks after!

Part theatrical experience, part audio storytelling, with beautiful 1960s production set design and walking through the streets of Jalan Besar at night - this immersive street theatrical experience is like nothing we've done before. Put on your walking shoes, and be transported back in time together!

2

Yummy Gin Tasting in Dempsey

This is one of our favourite date experiences! Tanglin Gin started because our iconic Singapore Sling's main ingredient is Gin - but Singapore doesn't have its own gin! So they concocted all sorts of cool local gin flavours using ingredients in the region, and made some incredibly yummy gin in the jungles of Dempsey!

Here you'll get to smell gin ingredients and later identify them in the gins, and get to taste a LOT of drinks. It's also a gorgeous bar so you can just chill and hang out with your date here after your tasting :)

3

Go on an Axe-trodinary Date!

Our friends love this axe throwing session so much that they've done this on multiple date nights! Here, you'll learn to throw an axe at a target similar to an archery or shooting range and earn points based on where your axe land. Patient instructors are there to teach you the best techniques, and you'll also get your own private throwing area.

4

Graffiti like Banksy

This is one of the perfect first dates since it's so unexpected, and even the most artistically-challenged can go wild with a spray can. Spend an hour graffiting your own wall and laugh about it at drinks afterward. It's the perfect way to unplug from your work week, and do something a little silly and unexpected.

5

Learn Pottery at a Zen Rooftop Studio

A super cosy space, the Dirty Hands Only studio is the perfect date spot to spend a chill afternoon. Listen to the low hum of the potter's wheel, sink your hands into smooth wet clay, and create something beautiful (or wonky!) together.

6

Coffee Meets Bagel!

If you love cafe hopping and brunch on weekends, you'll love this. This is probably Singapore's first and only coffee roasting experience, where you'll hand-make the freshest, most personal cuppa you'll ever drink!

Here you'll get to experience coffee farm-to-table - see the coffee plant growing on the farm; select and roast raw coffee beans over a fire; grind them up by hand; and experiment with different brewing techniques. You'll also get to enjoy a brunch of bagels and churros! (It's Coffee Meets Bagel for real!)

7

Escape to a Secret Rooftop Bee Farm!

This cool rooftop spot exudes London speakeasy vibes, and will definitely earn you brownie points for being in the know. Learn about organic farming, put on your bee suits to meet the honey bees, and indulge in a honey tasting session with the most unusual honey from around the world. End off the evening with house cocktails!

8

Go on a Hiking Adventure!

Nothing keeps a relationship alive than the buzz of excitement 🤩. If you're looking for a thrilling adventure to do with your loved one, this is for you. Get ready to brave through leftover structures from WWII, rampant jungle vines, and wade through ankle-high mud! We strongly recommend this as a double date idea, so invite your other couple friends along for some fun.

9

Wine & Dine on a Private Yacht for Special Occasions!

This private wine & dine yacht trip is one of the most unique ways to celebrate a proposal or special anniversary. You'll head out on a 4-hour yacht trip to Lazarus island, enjoy a yummy 2-course meal & wine all inclusive, and catch the gorgeous MBS skyline night view from the sea. If you wish, you can also have the added special experience of catching your own fish to add to the meal.

10

Make Cocktails & Enjoy Tacos!

We all know that Chimichanga does some of the best cocktails in Singapore, but we didn't know until recently that they also taught cocktail making, and offered a yummy (light) Mexican meal to cap it all off! This is a really cool experience where you explore a market beforehand to find fresh ingredients, and then get to incorporate it into your own yummy cocktails! Perfect for birthdays and special dates.

11

Learn to Paint and Play a Ukulele!

This has got to be one of our faves - it's art jamming but with an awesome random twist. You'll get to paint your own ukulele, learn to play it, and then bring it home! You can't take yourself too seriously when you're both learning to play the ukulele, and you'll get to see who can serenade the other better afterward! Perfect for first dates or cool anniversaries.

12

Try Longboarding!

If you're looking for a bit of cheeky adventurous fun, this is a dream date. Learn the basics of longboarding with your date and by the end of the class you can impress each other with your new techniques! This is perfect for those who don't take themselves too seriously, and want a date with lots of glee.

We love Ubin - it makes us feel like we're travelling back in time. Art Jam in a chilled studio

We know friends who swear that Art Jamming is the best way to spend a date! Not only can you chill out in a zen studio together, chat at your own pace, but you can also create an awesome piece of art. Whether you're good or terrible at art, this will give you lots to talk about afterward!

15

Make Pizza Together in a Wood-Fire Oven + Eat!

This is super cool - not only do you get to make your own pizza in a handcrafted brick oven, you'll get yummy pizza & beers to enjoy at the end of the session! You'll raise the fire using sustainably sourced firewood, make your own dough, and top it off with yummy toppings! Perfect for new and old couples who love food and something super unique.

16

Private Rooftop Movie with Cocktails

This is one of our favourites for a special surprise celebration! Here, you'll have a beautiful secret rooftop garden all to yourself, where you can enjoy a private movie under the stars 🤩 This comes with 3 cocktails per person, and the host will provide a screen, projector and Apple TV (so you can stream movies from your own Netflix account). You can also bring your own picnic, or order food to be delivered!

17

Practise Mindfulness Together

If you're feeling a bit burnt out, or are in need of a quick recharge, you should try out forest bathing. It sounds unusual, but it's basically a guided meditation in nature that has been shown to lower stress levels and increase focus. You will come away from this experience refreshed, with a newfound appreciation for nature, and most importantly - each other.

18
