We did a three day-two night homestay trek with Chan and Sung.
We opted for the more "strenuous" treks which took us up into the hills overlooking the valley. This was such a good decision - it was tough trekking in part but very rewarding as the routes took us away from the masses of day trippers in the valley floor. The days weren't over-long and food and water was provided as part of the trek service.
The evening meals were excellent with a great spread of authentic Local and Vietnamese dishes - more than enough to fill us up!
The evenings were spent in Sung and Chan's own homestay which was very clean, spacious and comfortable. We held with the evening meal food preparation - learning about recipes and techniques - including making deep fried spring rolls.
Both Sung and Chan speak excellent English and are very happy to engage and discuss topics relating to their culture, their local area and living in modern day Vietnam as a whole.
We will be recommending them to all our friends and family.

Me and my friend took 2D1N trekking experience with them and it was really lovely. Our guide was Wu (Chan’s sister), she spoke really good english, answered all of our questions (there were many) and was overall just lovely. The trek itself is about 14-16 km but there are many rest breaks. She took us to her parents house and then to Chan’s house where we slept. We had dinner with two other guests, Chan and Wu (they let us help with spring rolls) and it was sooo tasty and fun (we tried home made rice wine). + the view from the house is nice.
we would most definitely recommend going with them!!!
Thank you Wu and Chan.

I would 100% recommend chosing to stay with Chan for a few days. She is passionnate, caring and funny and you will discover a lot about the Hmong community. The guides of the family are warm and always leave the choice for the trek, whether you want it easy, difficult, with sight seeing...
I wish her the best for her business that she bravely created from nothing and to her kind family!

We did a trek with Chan last saturday and to meet this guide was the highlight on our Sapa visit! She is funny, kind, caring and just wonderful! The weather was a bit rainy and Chan was honest and told us that the trek we had planned would probably have no sight. Instead she gave us new options and she was very responsive to our need. We avoided the tourist paths and got a genuine experience of Sapa's nature. Chan is also great at english and she explained both historical and cultural events in Sapa during our walk. In sum, our day couldn't have been better and that was all thanks to Chan!

I had the most amazing time staying with Chan and her family.
I spent two nights there.
Trekked with Chan from Sapa to her home on day one, and on the second day I went with her husband, Tsung, on a 6 hour trek. Both are amazing guides.
In the evening I've spent time with her adorable kids.
The food was the best I've had in Vietnam (even got a cooking lesson from Chan)
Overall this was a perfect experience.
For anyone looking for an authentic experience, great hospitality and beautiful nature - this is a must.
