Itinerary: Sapa Central - Muong Hoa Valley - Lao Cai Village - Ta Van Village - Sapa Central
Sapa Central - Muong Hoa Valley - Lao Cai Village - Ta Van Village - Sapa Central

Today you will trek to Muong Hoa Valley and different villages in the area.

  • 8.30 am: Start walking from the homestay along the main road to Muong Hoa valley. After 4km on the main road, you will start going down to the valley by the small trails through the terrace rice fields to get to Y Linh Ho hamlet, a small village of the Black Hmong people. From Y Linh Ho village, go along the river to go to Lao Chai village (means "old village" in the local dialect). It is time for you to visit the local families, listen to the guide's explanation about the local culture: how they live, the way of building the traditional house, the technique of making clothes or listen about the way of treatment for a sick person.
  • 12 pm: Stop for lunch. Lunch is served in one of the local restaurant on the side of the river. In the afternoon, you will leave Lao Chai to continue to Ta Van village, the Giay people's residence. Learn the differences in their culture from the other hill tribes. Leaving Ta Van, you will head up to the main road where a car will pick you up to transfer back to Sapa Central.
  • 2.30 pm: Estimated arrival time at the homestay

My husband and I did the 1 day trekking and had an amazing time! Our tour guide Su was very knowledgeable and spoke English very well! She was very helpful and sweet and made sure our path was safe and comfortable for us every step of the way. We enjoyed learning about the Hmong people and love the lush greenery of Sapa! I highly recommend this tour and make sure to wear the proper gear!!

I think we don't have to write about the beautiful nature of Sapa, it's all said. The view of the restaurant on the 4th floor is awesome. Even if the variety of meals for breakfast isn't much, any of it is really delicious. The room facility is also good. You've got everything you need excepting a TV,what we actually not needed. Further is Mr. Diego Tran and his family gentle and helpful, whatever you have. They offer a laundry service, a motorbike rent, they organize different trips for you - to put it all in a nutshell: they will help you everytime. All what we can do is saying thank you to family Tran for our great stay. Jonas and Kassandra

Diego and his wife are very friendly and nice and they go the extra mile to make sure that all my needs were taken care of even after I checked out. The mountain view room is also comfortable and has all necessities. Highly recommended!
