the trek in itself was good. beautiful encounters and beautiful villages. however, the guide offered very few explanations and was not very talkative. you will also be followed by women who are very friendly throughout the trek until dinner where the dynamics suddenly change since they absolutely want you to buy items from them.

1 Day Join-In Sapa Highlights **No-frills, Best Value
Very little historical/cultural/political info was shared by the guide (who was very friendly but guests probably received more info from the Hmong women following the tour. Lunch was not “a packed lunch” in a “picturesque location”, but was entirely run of the mill, “tourist friendly” versions of Vietnamese food at a roadside cafe. More than 10 people in the tour. Bueatifyi area, gorgeous walk, but the tour itself was a little disappointing

It was very good experience and local people were very helpful. I would surely recommend this for 1 day (4-5 hrs ) trekking.
