Details
This trip departs daily from Cat Ba Island and sails for Ha Long and Lan Ha Bay. The trip takes place on a medium-sized boat with a maximum of 12 guests (a very small group to ensure the most personal experience!). It will start at 7.30 AM and end at 5.00 PM so you have about 9 hours to explore, kayak around the quaint lagoons, limestone karsts and dark caves. You will also hike up to Monkey Island for a panoramic view of the surroundings. As an added bonus: travellers have raved about the yummy food on this cruise!

Itinerary: Cat Ba - Lan Ha Bay - Halong Bay - Cat Ba
Today you will hike to see panoramic views of the bay, kayak and explore caves
- 7.30 Our bus will pick you up at our office (210,1/4 street, Cat Ba Town) and then transfer you to BEO Harbour about 1 km
- 7.45 to 11.30 – Our trip starts cruising through Floating Fishing Village
- (one of the oldest villages in Viet Nam), our tour guide will tell you many things different about the life of fishmen and their families.
- – Visiting and enjoying hundreds of different and amazing landscapes of limestone islands such as turtle islets , toad islets, candle islets … on Lan Ha Bay. (very fascinating scenery)
- – Keep cruising to the border between Ha Long bay and Lan Ha Bay where you enjoy kayaking (one and half an hour) through some caves named BRIGHT CAVE -DARK CAVE-BAT CAVE to explore the beauty of the nature in hidden lagoons.(wonderful experience)
- – Moving to private swimming zone in the middle of Ha Long Bay named Cam lagoon where there is tranquil area and you can swim in half an hour with blue, clear water, jump from the deck of the boat(very perfect)
- 12.00-13.00 Having lunch with Vietnamese cuisine, seafood and vegetarians food on boat.
- 13.00-14.30 You can blow off some steam by sleeping in the boat or sitting on the deck of the boat to enjoy sunbathing, taking photos while we come back by another route to take you to VIET HAI harbour
- 14.30 – 16.30 From Viet Hai harbour : Cycling to cross rice fields to Viet Hai village (fascinating experience).Stroll around the village to meet some friendly locals, learn about their life and culture there.

- 16.30-17.00 Get on the boat and return to Cat Ba Town. Our bus will bring you back to our office or your hotel, end a full day cruise trip.

Perfect day with Smile tours! Everyone was very helpful, we had been everywhere before most of the tourists arrived and the food was just amazing. There were also only 7 people + crew on the boat, so a lot of space for everyone. The office is just a bit difficult to find: go to Ireland hotel at: 51 Nui Ngoc, Cat Ba Island

The trip was great value for money and was one of the best tours we’ve booked. The entire crew was amazing & our tour guide Johnny was well informed and made our trip really special. The trip covered as much or more than the cruises we was going to book at half the price and wasn’t rushed. The lunch served on the boat was delicious as well!

We started at 7:30 and were brought to the boat by bus. Then went past an old fishing village to a place to Kayak, it was beautiful and you even had the chance to go through a few small caves.
After Kayaking you get to swim a little in the water but it was pretty exhausting cause you had to constantly swim against the stream. Food was freshly cooked on the boat and was ready to be eaten shortly after, also very delicious.
Last but not least we visited the Monkey Island where you, indeed, are able to see some monkeys and feed them and especially hyke up the path. (good shoes recommended)
The path can sometimes be pretty hard the further you get but it's worth it and if you can't do it you can always go down again.
You arrive home at around 5pm and even get one free beer (which is what I'm doing right now) so all in all great experience, can recommend.

We had a great time exploring La ha bay, Halong bay and Monkey island.
We had a good time with our guide Tar, he now how to avoide the croud from the other tours so we had enough time to enjoy the area with our small group.
The food was amazing, it was betther than the food what i ate in the town.
So i can really recimend this tour

We had an amazing day with Smile Tours! Because we left early, we avoided the big crowd and we enjoyed beautiful views. Tar, our guide, was also very nice and accompanied us on all the activities, showing us the best spots. He also took some nice pictures which he sent to us afterwards. Highly recommend this tour!
