Beautiful boat with fantastic crew. Extremely clean cabins. We had an interconnected room with a double for us and 2 singles for kids. Both opened up onto a gorgeous balcony. Buffet breakfast and lunches had a good variety and no shortage of food for 16 year old boy. Set menu dinner accommodated preferences for all. Great cocktails. We had a relaxing and wonderful time. Could have stayed for longer. Range of fun activities including swimming and kayaking. Tour guide Victor was brilliant as was manager of boat. All staff outstanding, friendly and helpful. Special mention to Manh, Sunny, Ha and Son who were especially helpful to us.

We had a a fabulous overnight cruise in a unique and stunning part of the world, eventually. The positives are that the cabins are lovely. It was larger and better than the last ‘delux’ hotel room we left in Hanoi. The food is delicious with all tastes catered for and there is plenty of it. The staff cannot do enough for you. They are hard working and service is to the forefront of their actions. So much so that one of the waiters even allowed us to use his phone as a hotspot as WiFi is not available on the boat. Jolie is very efficient and keen to see that everyone is happy. What stopped me giving top marks were the fact we had a delayed start, having been left on the jetty for over an hour waiting to be transferred to the boat, along with the passengers for another cruise boat. Communication as to the reason for the delay was very poor - it turned out a sister vessel had broken down. When the transfer boat reached it, our boat was straddled alongside, towing it out, meaning one side of the boat had no view of the bay at the start of the cruise. To compensate for the poor start, guests were given a free beer or soft drink with lunch. Thankfully our cabin was on the other side but a complimentary beer wouldn’t have been adequate compensation if it had been us. Also the word ‘cruise’ is a little bit of an exaggeration. You are actually moving for about 45 minutes before anchoring for the night. Nevertheless, the Halong experience is one of the main highlights of our trip.

The quality of the cruise ship and the service from the staff was excellent. The rooms and common areas were very clean and orderly. The staff was ensuring that we were taken care of. However, the location (Lan Ha Bay) and the schedule were not impressive at all. The itinerary included several activities such as bamboo boat ride, kayaking, tai chi, cooking demo etc. which all sound great on paper but in reality felt very forced and were too short. By the time we actually started enjoying something, it was time to move to the next one. There were also other things that did not go well on this cruise such as - another cruise ship got stalled in the middle of the bay due to a broken generator and understandably, we had to rescue them. However, instead of off-boarding the other ship's passengers onto a smaller boat and transferring them on to ours, the two captains decided the best way would be for our ship to crash sideways into theirs, creating quite a bit of panic amongst all of us, tying the two ships together with a rope and lugging the other ship back by sailing at half the speed to an entirely different harbor. Although the cruise was until noon, we were asked to check out at 9:30am and the staff began to clean and scrub the ship as we sat and watched, in preparation for the next set of passengers. The last 2-3 hours felt entirely too rushed and impersonal and to be honest, we couldn't wait to get off the ship. Add to that, there was a delay of more than an hour getting back to the harbor and we were not provided with sufficient information and were left hanging. Later we found out that the Vspirit did not have the permit to park at the harbor! Overall, an extremely average experience that I would not recommend to anyone.

Me and my friend had a fantastic time! They catered to my vegetarian diet, which i appreciated. Our room was nice and clean, and the bathroom was amazing- much better than many of the hotels we've been staying in. They provide many activities on the boat to keep you busy. We went kayaking twice, which was a treat. The staff are all incredibly attentive and helpful. The boat is clean and updated. I couldn't recommend this enough. I wish they would provide free drinking water- you have to buy it by the bottle. Had I know this beforehand I would have just brought a bunch of water with me. Other than that, everything is great. Thanks for a wonderful time!

This cruise was the highlight of our tour of Vietnam. They cruise around Lan Ha Bay not Halong Bay. This is much better to see and is a lot quieter. The scenery and activities are brilliant. The staff are fantastic and are so knowledgeable and helpful, especially Jame, Jolie, Ha, Son. The boat is new and the facilities are so clean and lovely. The food is plentiful and very tasty. We went kayaking and swimming to name some of the activities. Would highly recommend this tour and company.
