Coconut Garden is a fun tropical oasis where you can rejuvenate after a dusty safari. At its price point, it's one of the best quality accommodation options in the area. For their safari drives, they partner with Eagle Safaris, one of the oldest safari operators in Yala National Park, who are incredibly knowledgeable. So you'll be in great hands both at the lodge and on the safari drive!

Slightly off the beaten path but a very cozy place with friendly owners. They are keen on helping with your visit at their house and your trek around the national park. The room was tidy and the facilities were all in order. However, we found the food a bit pricey for what it was.

Owner was a bit brisk, had agreed by email other prices for safari than it actually was, the bathroom was the most disgusting on our trip

This wonderful family really cared about us during our stay and helped us a lot! The food was awesome, the rooms freshly renovated and the safari a great adventure with a really experienced driver/guide. We highly recommend everyone to enjoy this nice homestay in Uda Walawe!

Good: The room was very nice and had its own terrace/balcony (very hot during the day but nice to sit out in the evening). Warm water for the shower, fan and mosquito Bad: The bathroom was a bit dark and damp, but fine otherwise. The WiFi seemed to come and go - we reset the router a couple of times which helped. Otherwise, all good!

Can you arrange transportation to/from Yala National Park?
Yes sure! If you're coming from any other parts of Sri Lanka (e.g. Colombo) to Yala National Park for your safari, or you need to head from Yala National Park to any other parts of Sri Lanka after your safari, we can provide a private car transfer. This will cost US $60 per 4-person car, per one-way transfer. Please do indicate in your booking form if you require this transfer.
Which Yala National Park Blocks do you visit?
Most of our safari partners visit Block 1 as that is the one that is closest to the towns of Tissamaharam and Kataragama where most of the hotels are. It is also the block which has the most wildlife. Block 5 is visited on occasion. The other blocks require special permission for entry. If you have a certain block in mind, do let us know and we can see if we can arrange!
