For several years, Spiti Valley Tours has been organizing Snow Leopard sightings in Spiti Valley to provide a unique opportunity for wildlife enthusiasts and in turn help local communities. Local communities support by providing homestays, and wildlife spotters volunteer as guides. As you take in the breathtaking landscapes of this place, the tour also offers deeper and keener insights into the tough ways of life of mountain villagers. Brave the biting cold and this experience is sure to be a memorable one! A minimum of four pax is required for this activity.

Day 1: Shimla - Kalpa

Enjoy the splendid views along the way! This route is famous for its apple growing belts and arrive on the valley floor of the Sutlej River that originates in Tibet.

  • Drive to Kalpa
Day 2: Kalpa - Tabo

As you make your way up, the land scape changes into the stark, trans-Himalayan deserts of Spiti. If there is time you can visit the monastery at Tabo.

  • Depart Kelpa for Tabo
  • Arrive at Tabo
Day 3: Tabo - Tabo / Kaza

While acclimatising in Kaza, you can take a walk to the riverside in New Kaza and spend the rest of your time exploring the Kaza Market

  • Explore Kaza market
Day 4: Tabo / Kaza - Kibber

Today you can visit the Ki Monastery and also flex some handiwork with engaging in rope twining, churn your own yak butter or cheese or learn to make your own local brew

  • Visit Key monastery
  • Partake in activities like rope twining and culinary classes.
Day 5: Kibber to Kibber

Around this area you can go on an adventure by visiting various spots around the village that are frequented by snow leopards and other wildlife during winter

Day 6: Kibber - Kalpa

Snow Leopard sightings in Spiti Valley to provide a unique opportunity for wildlife enthusiasts to spot this wild cat and in turn help local communities

Today is the last day of the trip! As you make your way back you can bid your farewells to new friends you've made along the trip and have these memories last you an entire lifetime!
