This is a sample itinerary and may be weather-dependent. Start/end times may depend on transport chosen.
Day 1: Kathmandu (1200m) - Lukla (2840m) - Phakding (2610m)

Today you will arrive at Phakding, where you will start your ascend tomorrow.

  • Morning: Flight to Lukla, descend to Ghat (2490m) in the valley of the Dudh Kosi (Milk River) before continuing to Pakding
Day 2: Phakding (2610m)-Namche Bazaar

A tough hike to Namche Bazaar through Sagarmatha National Park!

  • Morning to afternoon: Enter the Sagarmatha National Park, climb above the river to Namche Bazaar
  • Evening: Spend the night at Namche Bazaar
Day 3: Namche Bazaar

Explore Namche Bazaar!

  • Rest day at Namche Bazaar, day trek to the Everest view hotel
Day 4: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3850m)

Tengboche is an important Buddhist pilgrimage site

  • 6-hour hike
Day 5: Tengboche to Dingboche (4350m)

Today you will make your way towards Orsho where beautiful rock paintings are aplenty!

  • Descend through the beautiful rhododendron forest and cross Imja Khola. Leave Pangboche and head towards Orsho Afternoon: Catch some views on Pumori in the north, the final climb up to Dingboche (4410m)
Day 6: Chhukung

Explore Chukung, the last village in the eastern direction.

  • Rest day at Dingboche, day trek to Chhukung (Iceland peak view)
Day 7: Dingboche to Lobuche (4930m)

Today is your second acclimatisation day.

  • Afternoon: Cross the Thukla pass (4830m) and ascend 500m in total to Lobuche (4910m) and another 200m for acclimatisation
Day 8: Lobuche- Gorekshep (5160m)

Today you will get to enjoy a beautiful sunset view and Mount Everest close up.

  • Morning: Detour from the main trail to visit an Italian research centre
  • Afternoon: Continue to Gorak Shep (5140m)
Day 9: Kalapathar- Everest base camp- Gorakshep

Climb Kala Patthar (Black Rock) at 5500m

  • Morning view to Kalapathar, day trek to the Everest base camp and back to Gorekshep
Day 10: Gorakshep to Pheriche (4200m)

Panoramic view of snowy mountains

  • Descend to Periche where you will stay overnight.
Day 11: Pheriche- Tengboche (3850m)

Today will be a long day of trekking but you'll get to see more snowcapped mountains along the way.

  • Morning: Head to Pangboche and Tengboche
Day 12: Tengboche - Namche Bazaar (3440m)

5 hours of trekking

  • Continue the trek to Namche Bazaar, passing by various campsites and villages
Day 13: Namche Bazaar to Phakding (2700m)- Lukla (2800m)

Today, you will get to explore Lukla, one of the most challenging landing spot for pilots worldwide.

  • Morning: Trek back to Lukla
  • Afternoon: Explore local villages and restaurants, experience local life
Day 14: Lukla - Kathmandu (2800m)

Today, you'll get to explore Kathmandu!

  • Morning: Fly back to Kathmandu
  • Afternoon: Rest or explore surrounding local experiences, souvenir shopping, sightseeing
  • Evening: Farewell dinner

As Friendly Trekkers Adventure pays for your trip’s logistics in advance, you can only cancel for free within 24 hours of your booking, provided that this is at least 2 weeks before your trip starts.
Change of Date
You may also change your trip date once up to 3 days before your trip starts. Any date change are subject to availability.
