The trek is 13,800 ft above sea level, thus offering hikers amazing views of snow-clad mountain peaks. The Sar Pass Trek starts from Kasol which is famous among backpackers. Kasol is also a starting point for treks in the Parvati Valley like Tosh Valley Trek, Animal Pass Trek, Sara Umga Pass Trek and many more.

Unseen Himalayas was started by three friends who are outdoor enthusiasts. Although they provide tours to mostly domestic travellers, they are now looking to show off the beauty of Manali to travellers from around the world.

Day 1: Kasol trek - Grahan Village

Trek starts from the market of Kasol and further enter the forest and trek along Grahan Nalah. This trail is well made and it is frequently used by the villagers.  Exit the forests section and you will see grasslands and shops run by locals. Juice of Rhododendrons (Burans) is famous there and sold in every shop there.  After one hour sheer ascent reach Grahan village it is located on top of the hill.

Day 2: Grahan Village - Min Thach

Post breakfast take the northwards trail, also used by the villagers. Trek for few minutes and get a surprising view of Sar Top and Min Thach. Now, the trail is steep and you have to go through a dark forest. Cross it and a grassland will welcome you which is present on a ridge. This is Min Thach, you may see some cattle grazing there.Some phenomenal views from Min Thach are of Chanderkhani it looks extremely beautiful.

Day 3: Min Thach - Magaru Thach

This place offers mesmerising sight of Chanderkhani, Min Thach, Grahan village, town of Manikaran, Beas and Parvati valley. After sunset the weather gets cold and the winds are strong so after setting camps retire for the night.

Day 4: Nagaru - Sar Pass - Biskeri Thach

Day 4 will be more challenging as the pathways are covered with snow which makes the path more slippery, despite the increased difficulty of the hike, your view will still remain as stunning and picturesque.

  • Arrive at Biskeri Thach
  • Camp overnight
Day 5: Biskeri Thach - Barshaini.

This is the last day of the trek, the decent will involve some rope work paired with rive streams and beautiful grasslands!
