Trekking to the Manaslu region was opened in 1992 for outsiders. Since then, the trekking to Manaslu and Tsum valley through the Larke La pass has been popular primarily for having incredible scenes of the unique landscapes, natural wonders of snow-capped, rocky hills and awesome views of the range of mountains located in the Manaslu region. The term Manaslu means ‘Spirit Mountain’ in the local dialect, symbolising that the area is protected by a benevolent and strong deity. You will push the boundaries of your physical capabilities, and you will be amazed by the blend of cultures, unique rituals, and lifestyles of the diverse ethnic groups living along the trail.

Village stay

Meet Tibetan refugee community

Day 12: Samdo (3875m) - Dharmasala (4460m) - 5hrs

Witness Larke glaciers

Day 13: Dharmasala (4460m) - Bhimtang (3590m) via Larke-La Pass - 8hrs

Glacial Lake, Summit, Start descent

  • - Start trek from Dharmasala

Day 14: Bhimtang (3590m) - Tilijie (2300m) - 5hrs

Mostly descending
