We stayed one night at this lodge. Felt more like staying at someone’s home actually, Mother and Father serve the most delicious rice and curry and are the sweetest people. One of the sons is an excellent rainforest guide, and they can arrange transport wherever you like. The bungalows are basic but spacious, comfortable and with fabulous views. Being on a small hilltop the whole place feels airy and nice, and it’s situated close to the forest entry gate. Highly recommended!

The hotel is so close to the rainforest that you don't even need transport. Just a short walk and you're in the jungle.
It's a family run hotel where mom does the cooking, which is fantastic, and dad brings fresh tea from his own tea field.
The hotel organized a guide for me to the jungle so it was very quick and easy.
Chamara the eldest son/manager is a great guy and an even better driver. He'll take you anywhere you need to go and pick you up from Deniyaya if you need.
Because the location is remote I'd recommend to call ahead for directions and get a mobitel SIM card for better coverage.

We enjoyed our stay here. The location is very remote, but right next to sinharaja rainforest. So it is perfect if you are looking to trek through the rainforest. The views are breathtaking! The room is basic but has everything you need, good value for money. The family that own the lodge are so friendly and kind. They can organise a tour guide to take you into the rainforest. Our guide was great, he would stop along the way to show us different plants and wildlife which we saw plenty of!

We happened to find this hotel by accident, because we needed a place to stay before our early morning start for a rainforest hike. We were aware, the reviews had a range from very good to very bad but decided to try our luck. We'll, we were lucky! We got two beautiful cabanas with amazing view and Air Condition. The food and hospitality of the place were amazing and we are definitely coming back for another rainforest adventure.
