11-Day Goecha La Trekking

By TourGenie

Overview

11 days 10 nights
Group trip
Price: USD$288 INR20,000 per person
This route lies completely within the boundaries of the Kanchenjunga National Park. The forest you will experience here is denser and greener than what you will get to see on most other routes. The region is also known for the Himalayan Black Bear, the Blue sheep, Thar, Snow Leopard, Foxes, Red Panda, and several bird species, including a few critically endangered ones like the Blood Pheasant. It has a very high density of rhododendrons and pink, white, red and yellow rhododendrons abound in the region. The route offers spectacular views of several high peaks in the area including Mt Pandim, Mt Tenzingkhang, Mt Kanchenjunga, Mt Kokthang, Kabru Massif and many more. This is one of the more challenging but exciting and fulfilling trails in the country.
