Many people think this place is exclusively for Caucasian guests only. But apparently not, even local guests can stay here. It's just that the price offered is pretty good, which is around Rp. 2 million per night. The view of the beach in this place is extraordinarily beautiful. The color is very blue when the weather is sunny. But it seems the manager does not allow visitors to swim on the beach. Instead, the manager provides a swimming pool so you can swim with views directly into the ocean.

Liked · Lovely decor, amazing beachfront view.

Disliked · The curtains were quite thin so in the morning difficult to sleep in. A lot of light everywhere so difficult to see stars at night. But these are minor criticisms - it was a great stay!

Overall: This place is a gorgeous getaway from Singapore, especially for families. I have been there several times and so far had great experiences. However, if you get room 24 (not the nice little house in my pics, but the room next to the drying towels and TV parabols), then it is definitely overpriced (not cheap in general...but that room is a joke). So check before booking in which room they put you as this room is a shame. Pros: - isolated place, very relaxing - great for families - amazing poil and beach - lovely staff Cons: - over priced - limited activities (which is not necessarily a con as to be honest, when going there, I enjoy doing nothing :)) - limited food options - room 24: this room is a joke...really. Very expensive and very basic. You are in a corner of the resort, stuck behind the parabolic antennas, and next to where they dry the laundry...it really is a shame!

This resort has been very well designed and developed. The rooms are basic with white stained wooden doors and an adobe finish but they are very comfortable. The eco-friendly credentials are certainly in evidence. The beach is picturesque but largely unswimmable although the pool is clean and beautifully located. The food is very good with 'specials' every night and a trick is to ask for a special dish like steamed fish - in my case perfectly delivered the next night. The only alcohol available is Bintang beer and taking your own beverage like gin worked well for an evening tipple! The resort can be crowded at weekends when the Singaporians visit but during the week it was quiet and very relaxing. The SPA is very good and the staff right across the board were helpful, attentive and courteous. A nice quiet out-of-the-way haven!

Liked · This resort is an absolute delight! Quietly tucked away on the east coast away from the mass resorts on the north. Private beach to watch sunrise, lovely pool area, restaurant seating watching the sea and island spa on the grounds. Absolutely perfect for a few days away from it all. The staff could not be more helpful. The food is also amazing - local dishes and other cuisine. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here... and definitely want to come back. Disliked · My only (tiny) criticism was that the only alcohol available was beer. I think that you could BYO as there was a corkage charge but I didn't know this before arriving.
