This is summit climb to the highest mountain in Taiwan with a private English-speaking guide. You will spend the first night in Dongpu or Wangxiang for high altitude acclimatization, and another night in Paiyun Lodge before reaching the summit. The trail passes through a great variety of ecosystems ranging from the subtropical rainforests, fir forests, bamboo groves, alpine vegetation to the overlooking canyons, and plunging valleys amid rolling hills. This trip will begin and end in Taipei.

Day 1: Taipei - Dongpu/ Wangxiang

You will start the journey to the Central mountain range of Taiwan.

Accommodation: Dongpu/ Wangxiang Lodge -

  • 03:00pm - Pick-up at Anywhere in Taipei
  • 03:15 pm Depart to Dongpu
  • 06:00 pm Short stop at a convenience store, to purchase your hiking snacks or other necessities. (at your own expense)
  • 06:30 pm Dinner on the way
  • 09:00 pm Overnight at a local hotel in Dongpu or Wangxiang
Day 2: Dongpu/ Wangxiang - Yushan Trailhead - Paiyun Lodge
Dongpu/ Wangxiang - Yushan Trailhead - Paiyun Lodge

You will start hiking up to Yushan, arrive at the lodge closest to the summit in preparation for the last day's hike.

Accommodation: Paiyun Lodge - Dorm Room

  • 06:00 am Get up and breakfast
  • 09:00 am Arrival at Paiyun checkpoint
  • 10:00 am Yushan Trailhead. Start hiking.
  • 01:00 pm Arrival at White Wood Forest. Lunch
  • 04:30 pm Check-in to Paiyun Lodge and dinner
