I was here many years ago and was very taken by the experience and said to myself that I would bring a Yoga retreat here one day! 6 years later I did just that and I arrived this winter with 27 other people all ready to experience the Bali that I had many years prior. No one was disappointed.
I have been blessed to have traveled extensively, and I can say without a doubt that this place as well as all the resorts owned by this company are all above par. They superseded all expectations and my guests left feeling the same nostalgia that I had many years previously. That this is truly a special place, kissed by God/Krisna Himself and I leave once again in awe of the beauty not only of the land and resort itself epic are are both breathtaking but of the people, they are the true beauty of this place that God has blessed. I would invite all that are searching and seeking the divine to entrust in this beautiful place, for it is more than a destination or vacation but a transformation spiritual experience.
Jiiva Yoga and Wellness Center
Beautifully manicured grounds in the jungle....breathtaking. Amazing food grown in their own eco friendly garden. The staff were friendly and attentive, meeting individual needs. Our yoga Shala (one of several) just lovely... with views of the jungle all around. Bed and pillows very comfortable. All in all a great stay. There is no air conditioning... take an individual fan for extra comfort.... but even in mid January the evenings were cool and I slept well.
Rolling terraced gardens, beautifully appointed rooms, amazing pool and a great schedule of wellness based activities really make this place shine. Add to that an attentive and friendly staff and you have Bagus Jati. The grounds are so beautiful that we started referring to it as Eden, we really didn't ever want to leave. The spa services were lovely, the healthy food in the restaurant was good, some dishes better than others but that's to be expected (I would steer clear of the nasi goreng, a bit dull) The yoga classes were quite basic, a lot of first timers and the pace and skill level were tailored to accommodate. There was no issue with lingering in the studios after classes if you're eager to do a bit more practice. Overall we really enjoyed our time at Bagus Jati.
I traveled to Bali alone and I needed a place where I could recharge and relax this place was exactly what I needed.
When travelling alone the most important thing is safety and I always felt safe at the resort. The staff were amazing and no request was too much for them.
As other people have said this resort is located one hour from Ubud so you can not just leave the resort to go out for lunch or shopping to me this was an advantage as I was forced to relax and just be in the moment.
I was here for a yoga retreat for 11 nights. The yoga retreat was fabulous, but my review needs to focus on Bagus Jati. Yes!! Just say YES to this beautiful and sweet place. You are quite literally surrounded by nature, jungle, rivers and peace. My room, 303, was so comfortable, the grounds of this retreat are stunningly beautiful and the food is all grown on the grounds - it's amazing!
The spa... I could not ask for more accommodating and talented therapists. I tried several different treatments while staying there and each one was unique.
The pool. That pool. It's stunning.
Be prepared for the stairs and hills. You are in the jungle. They were always accommodating with golf carts to come and get you, which I used after spa treatments - but otherwise, I climbed. It was a great workout and a wonderful way to experience all the nature that is nurtured here.
Buddha was a fantastic guide. Everyone I interacted with at Bagus Jati was helpful, friendly and easy.
