From flora to fauna, from mountains to lakes, there is a different view to admire each day! You'll start off from Maneybhanjyang and pass through the small village of Chitre. You'll stroll through forests home to the rare Red Panda, and visit Kalipokhri, a pond of black water that never freezes. If the weather is clear, you will be greeted with an impressive view at the Sandakphu peak. Also spot the other peaks of the Sikkim Himalayas — Lhotse, Everest, and Makalu! Local pricing is available upon request.

  • Equipment: dome/alpine tents, kitchen tents, insulated ground sheets, toilet tents, tables and chairs, etc.
  • Food: all meals will be provided for (menu will be a mix of Chinese, Indian, Sikkimese, continental and many more)

  • Porters and Dzo: all the equipment, rations, food, luggage* will be carried by the Dzos and Porters.

Day 1: Darjeeling - Maneybhanjyang - Tumling
Darjeeling - Maneybhanjyang  - Tumling

Today you will trek up to Maneybhanjyang at 2790m.

Accommodation: Hidden Paradise - Teahouse

  • 08:00am - Meet-up at Yuksom
  • You will start off with an uphill trek from Maneybhanjyang which passes through small village of Chitre and forests of Rhododendrons and Magnolias
Day 2: Tumling - Kalepokhri
Tumling - Kalepokhri

Today you will be walking towards Kalepokhri at 3010m to see the pond of black water which never freezes.

Accommodation: Hidden Paradise - Teahouse

  • On the next day you will undertake a pleasant walk through the forest which is home to the rare Red Panda and the Tragopan. A long trek 14 kms to Kalepokhri(3010m) which is famous for the pond of black water which never freezes.
Day 3: Kalepokhri - Sandakphu
Kalepokhri - Sandakphu

Today you will be heading towards Sandakphu peak at 3636m.

Accommodation: Hidden Paradise - Teahouse

  • On a clear day, at the peak of Sandakphu, one can see the peaks of Lhotse (8501m), Everest (8848m) and Makalu (8475m) of the Nepal Himalayas and the huge Kanchenjunga massif (8586m) along with other peaks of the Sikkim himalayas.
Day 4: Sandakphu - Gurdum

Today you will be making your way to gurdum at 2800m

  • Trekking towards Gurdum at 2800m
Day 5: Gurdum - Rimbik
Gurdum - Rimbik

Today you will be moving towards Rimbik at 2286m.

  • Today you will be resting at Rimbik at 2286m.
Day 6: Rimbik - Darjeeling
Rimbik - Darjeeling

Today you will be returning to Darjeeling to end off the trip.

  • Trek towards Darjeeling to end off the trip.
  • 02:00am - End at Yuksom
