My friends and I had a blast during our stay in Sabah. Staff was friendly, felt like we were long time friends and the service there was excellent too. I would highly recommend this 👍🏻

It is one of the most memorable holiday that I have experienced with my family. We learned so much about the people of Sabah. I hope I could gain the same feeling as before.

It is only the booking agent for other dive shops that does not provide an online booking so you have to book the diving package via e-mail or Facebook messenger and pay using Paypal with sufficient additional commission. But they respond on messages with almost no delay during working hours (unlike some other local dive shops) and provide all corresponding information. Diving itself (with two different dive shops) was not perfect: an equipment was in good state, but one of the diveshops was unable to provide a long wet suite or even to change a scuba's mouthpiece to small one (to avoid vomiting reflex if using long one). There was a problem with the divers groups formation: usually I had to dive with relatively inexperienced divers with high air consumption (so I ended up the dive with 110-120 bars in tank even without any special efforts). The meal was also too far from perfect (may be it was good for Chinese most of the groups consist of).

Borneo Climb and Dive provided a truly great experience for our group in April 2019. They provided us with a river cruise + dinner (to see wild proboscis monkeys and fireflies), and helped us with a Mount Kota Kinabalu (2 nights 3 days) hiking package. Mallcolm and the Team are incredibly friendly and attentive. Not a single detail was missed and we were able to enjoy the trip without stress or hassle. The team are knowledgeable and never short of recommendations for things to try and do. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and will most definitely visit Kota Kinabalu again. We were unable to dive this time but we will be back to do some diving through Borneo Dive and Climb. I can not recommend them more highly enough!

Will I definitely get to summit Mt Kinabalu?
It'll depend on your fitness level and the weather. On the morning of the summit, you'll need to get to the summit checkpoint by 5pm in order to be cleared by the local rangers for summit. If you do not arrive in time (due to fitness level or other reasons), you will not be allowed to proceed to summit. In addition, there are a handful of days each year where the summit climb is cancelled by Mt Kinabalu Park due to dangerous weather conditions. Cancellations happen if there is torrential rain and it's deemed dangerous for climbers to make the slippery summit climb. Cancellations are rare, and no refund will be issued by Mt Kinabalu Park for any cancellations.
