This is a beginner-friendly option for baking sourdough bread and focaccia. You will also learn to create your own sourdough starter, which is super useful for your entire sourdough-making journey.Despite the immediate impression you may get from its name, sourdough bread is naturally fermented using wild yeast. It is chemical-free and vegan-friendly, not to mention healthy and delicious at the same time 😋What You'll learnLearn everything about Sourdough Starter – creation, maintenance, preservation.Folding techniques that will help you create beautiful bread even as a beginner. Different set-ups of baking Sourdough and understand what to expect when you bake at home.Enjoy freshly baked long-fermented sourdough during the tea break. Learn to judge fermentation progress by the look and feel of the dough and understand when it is ready for the next step.Recipes for 3 bread: Sourdough Artisan Loaf, Sandwich loaf and Focaccia.After WorkshopBring your shaped dough back home and bake it the next day in your home oven. (this is a part of the long-fermentation method)Take home a mature and vigorous sourdough starter to kick start your baking journey.4 weeks of post-workshop support via Telegram group chat. Complete guidance to practise and improve your skills!1-hour live online session “How to create a Sourdough Starter” comes free with your booking. The teacher conducts one weekday and one-weekend session (3 pm to 4 pm) every month on this topic. You can choose a date to attend online after your in-person sourdough workshop.Important Notes The workshop fee is non-refundable. Under unavoidable circumstances, you may be allowed to postpone.You agree to keep all course-related content confidential and strictly for personal use. You will not share it on any social media platform or forward it to others. You are allowed to share your bake pictures and even sell your bakes.Please bring your own bowl/banneton (18cm top diameter) or sandwich loaf tin (medium) to carry the shaped dough along. You will be baking this at home the next day as per guidance from the teacher.Please arrive 15 minutes before the workshop.The Venue will be either 27 Simei Street 3 or 41a Kampong Bahru Road depending on number of participants.

Any changes to your booking must be at least 7 days before the trip date.
Reschedule is allowed if there is a medical reason with proof and My Organic Spoon has the right to allow rescheduling.
In the event that one or more participants are tested positive (or suspected) for Covid-19, they are required to present a verification from MOH the soonest as possible. Customers can choose to reschedule the booking.
