Details
Nuwara Eliya was a favourite retreat of the British during colonial times, the town is dotted with English country style houses and half-timbered bungalows. Witness Ramboda Waterfalls, tea plantation and a tea factory which nestled in the hills to sample some of Ceylon’s finest. This will give you an opportunity to know how the tea workers’ live and share their knowledge of tea plucking & and tea production. The driver will also take you to Gregory Lake and a viewpoint with a 360' Bird's Eye View of the town.

Itinerary: Nuwara Eliya - Ramboda Waterfall - Gregory Lake - Tea Factory
Today you will ride on a van, visit waterfall, tea plantation and a tea factory
- 8 am: The driver will bring you to the 11th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka- Ramboda Waterfalls, followed by a stop at the tea estate, and factory.
- To wrap up the trip, you'll see the Gregory Lake, a reservoir in heart of the tea country hill city and a viewpoint that offers Bird's Eye View of the town.
- 2 pm: Return to the hotel
- The itinerary is flexible, do let the driver know if you'd like to stop at places while you're on the trip!

We got a very cheap transfer from the train station to our hostel in nuwara Eliya!!
Because Saman is such a polite and trustful guy we decided to book him for a whole day and than he even took me from Kandy to the airport!!
Because of his very good English we could ask many questions about his home country!! With all his effort we had a great day and some delicious local food experiences!!

Samaan is a great driver! He helped us with everything we needed and made the long ride a pleasant trip. He took us to a great authentic restaurant for lunch and waited for us till we got situated at our hostel. We couldn't have asked for a better driver! Thank you for a wonderful trip.

Strongly recommend you Saman as a guide in Nuwara Eliya. He is a really professional guide, driver and good person to talk. We were very pleased to come with him to Ramboda waterfall, tea plants and finally had a transfer to Colombo airport.

We stayed in Nuwara Eliya for 3 nights and Saman showed us many of the beautiful sights his home had to offer. As well as taking us to some specific spots we wanted to see he also showed us other sights that we didn’t know about. He is a wealth of information and would highly recommend him if you want to tour around for the day and see what Nuwara Eliya has to offer.

We can't praise Saman enough, we had an amazing day. We didn't want to do an off the shelf tour, so Saman tailored our visits around things we knew we wanted to see but also things not mentioned in the guide books.
He very knowledgeable & extremely passionate about not only Nuwara Eliya but all things Sri Lanka. You can't help but have an absolutely enjoyable day with Saman & his infectious laugh. We had such a great time, that when we tried to buy our train ticket to Ella but missed out...we new instantly that we would arrange this trip also with Saman.
