This join-in trip starts with a pick up in Hanoi and will take you to see the natural and historic points of interest located in the Ninh Binh area: Hoa Lu, ancient capital of Vietnam; Mua Cave, the miniature great wall of Vietnam; and Trang An Complex, a UNESCO heritage site, where you will take a sampan boat to explore the area and see caves.What to ExpectFirst you will visit Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam, built in the 10th century. Here you will see Dinh and Le Temple's built by Vietnam's two prominent kings and located in a secluded area with natural protection of forest and river. Your guide will share with you about the history of these kings and their wars with China. Next you will scale the impressive Mua Cave also known as the Miniature Great Wall of Vietnam, which will require climbing 500 steps. At the top you will be rewarded with impressive views of waterway networks, rice paddies and Ninh Binh City in the distance. At the base of Mua Cave, make sure to take in the views of the near by ponds filled with lotus flowers which bloom in May!Afterwards you will take a traditional sampan boat down the waterways of the Trang An complex, a UNESCO heritage site, comprised of various waterways and surrounded by limestone karsts. Along the way you will stop and see five different caves. Finally you will have a bit of time to explore Old Ninh Binh City on your own where you can see the Silver Pagoda.

Today you will climb up 500 steps up the Miniature
- 7:45 am to 8:30 am - Pick up from Hanoi Old Quarter and head to Ninh Binh area.
- 10:45 am to 11:00 am - Arrive to Hoa Lu, the first capital of Vietnam, built in the 10th century. Visit Dinh and Le King's Temple .
- 11:30 am to 11:45 am - Arrive to the Mua Cave, constructed as a “Miniature Great Wall”, and modeled after the one in China with nearly 500 steps up to mountains to conquer.
- 12:45 pm to 13:00 pm - Savour the flavours of special Vietnamese dishes in a local restaurant for lunch.
- 14:00 pm to 14:15 pm - Get on a small boat to visit Trang An Complex, where you will visit caves.
- 16:30 to 16:45 - Get on the bus to return Hanoi
- 19:00 to 19:15 - Reach Hanoi
