This is a private 1-hour online workshop where participants will be guided through a mindful rest practice, focused on deep rest and recovery, and reducing stress. Great for teams looking to re-charge and re-connect meaningfully. Group size: 20-100 persons. What to Expect This online workshop combines theory and the experience of rest. The seven types of rest and their benefits will be introduced, and common misconceptions about rest will be clarified. Participants will then be guided through a mindful rest practice that provides them with a first-hand experience of selected types of rest. This workshop is uniquely crafted to focus on deep rest and recovery, stress reductions and emotional uplifts.The experience may include exercises such as progressive body relaxation, conscious breathwork, imagery exercises, mindful movements and more. The workshop is suitable for anyone, no prior experience or knowledge is required.Customization and special curationProgrammes are always customisable to suit your needs. Please let us know your customisation needs after your booking and we'll be happy to accommodate. What to Prepare at Home *Please make sure you have a good internet connection on your electronic devices.*Join the call in a quiet space, you can choose to lay down on a yoga mat/ couch/ armchair during the session.Video Conferencing Platform*The operator is able to host sessions via Zoom. Invitation to join the session will be provided closer to the date of the event.*If your organisation uses a different platform (MicrosoftTeams or Google Meet), the operator is able to join with an invitation from you.

Meet your host

The founder of Xiu, Youmin is a certified nature and forest therapy guide with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides and Programs, USA. A pioneer guide in Singapore and Southeast Asia, she is passionate about self-care, slowing down practically, and re-connecting to nature. Youmin guides with Singapore’s National Parks Board and she conducts nature therapy to support specific communities such as people living with dementia, as well for families. Programmes in Xiu Nature Connections include forest bathing, nature connection programmes and Yoga Nidra.

The participants have feedback that the trainer is not engaging the participants enough and there isn't much energy/positivity felt during the session. There is too much of talking (half of the 1 hour) and many a times are repetitive information. There is only about a 25mins left for the actual exercise itself which is kind of short. Suggest SeekSophie to provide more experienced trainers as we do not mind the higher costs. Thank you.

This 60-min online rest and wellbeing workshop comprises of a content segment on basic theories of rest (first half workshop), and the 2nd half is the guided individual rest experience. In the spirit of rest, the entire workshop is designed and intended to be slow and quiet, a time for participants to be with themselves. It was never meant to be energetic, high vibe or highly interactive. The experience was refreshing. We were reminded of the importance of maximising the usage of our senses and the wonders of mother nature.
It was very comfortable and relaxed guided by Youmin, she helped us to immerse into the surrounding and be with nature.

This was a relaxing and energising outing - thanks You Min for introducing the concept of forest bathing and being such an open and engaging guide! I wasn’t sure what to expect with a forest bathing outing as I had not encountered the concept before. However, I really enjoyed the session and it opened my eyes to a new way to engage with nature and my surroundings. You Min is an informed guide and passionate about nature. I would highly recommend this experience to those new to forest bathing and wanting to get closer to Singapore’s natural environment.

Not gonna lie, we didn’t really know what to expect for forest bathing, but it’s basically a Japanese eco-therapy practice in the forest! You min is a great facilitator and invited us to open our senses, listen to Nature — the trees, the wind, feel the earth beneath us and just r e l a x. It was such a healing experience for me and I felt my worries and anxiety lift. I loved the mini sharing sessions after each section and drinking hot butterfly pea flower tea in wooden cups (like a picnic!) at the end really rounded up the whole experience beautifully. It’s great to do solo, or even as a team bonding activity!
