Design a beautiful toy camera using different types of wood.Recommended age:8 and above, children 4-7 are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult.All our workshops begin with a safety briefing. (Even for returning students) Read more about our safety standards here.What to expect:Design and make your own wooden camera! To design their own camera, your child will work within the parameters of “what a camera should look like” and “how they want it to look.”Woodworking is a wonderful way to develop character. The smell and feel of wood, using real tools, working with a natural material, the sounds of hammering and sawing, hands and minds working together to express their imagination and to solve problems, the use of strength and coordination: all go together to captivate young children’s interest.What will I learn:Workshop safety and behavioursUsing light hand tools (child appropriate)Design and planningHow to make your 2D plan to prototype!Wood processing methods: sawing, sanding, etcSimple wood joining methodsAdditional details: - A short tea break is provided.- Attire: Please wear closed toe shoes to the venue. - Attire: Comfortable, No loose or flowy clothing.- No use of power tools for the safety of the children.- All personal PPE (personal protective equipment) will be provided*This activity requires a minimum of 4 persons to proceed. You may book for fewer than 4 persons but if there are fewer than 4 persons booked for the date, you may reschedule to another date.
