We did the 2 day 1 night trek through sapa, staying the night in a homestay. Over the two days our guides included Giang and her husband. Both were extremely friendly and willing to answer all our questions. Their knowledge was outstanding whilst also making the trek fun. We spent the night at Giang’s cousins house. The family were extremely welcoming and the accomodation was above anything we expected. We would highly recommend sapa tribal trekking as they go above and beyond what one would expect.
We did the 2-day, 1-night trek with Giang. It was absolutely wonderful. The scenery is breathtakingly beautiful. But the best part of the trek was our guide, Giang. She is from one of the villages we visited and she knows so much about the area. Giang is friendly and personable and seemed genuinely excited to share her knowledge of the area with us.
Giang met us at our hotel in Sapa and we began our trek by walking down into the valley. We trekked through several villages and saw terraced rice fields, waterfalls, rivers, and bamboo forests. We stopped for an incredible lunch at a local home where they graciously accommodated our vegetarian diet. After lunch, we continued the trek and learned about the various tribes in the area. We arrived at our homestay around 5:00 and were welcomed with tea. We had a hot shower and then ate an incredible dinner with the whole family. The next morning, we were served another wonderful meal and then headed out for the last village. We had lunch in the village and then took a bus back to Sapa. We were very sad to say goodbye to Giang. We will never forget this amazing experience.
We absolutely loved this adventure with Giang! It exceeded our already high expectations. Giang took us to a less traveled and absolutely beautiful path. We had a delicious lunch in her uncles home high in the mountains and a wonderful and comfortable Homestay with her cousin and her family who were all lovely people. Our favorite part of this adventure was spending time with Giang. She was so fun and personable. While the other guides seemed kind and good, we felt Giang was extra special. The sites we saw were spectacular. Thank you Giang for this unforgettable adventure!
Where to begin? Wow Giang was so amazing and knowledgeable. Her family that we stayed with were amazing and their house was so beautiful and over looking the valley in a great location. The food was outstanding with so much flavor, we both could not stop eating. If you come to sapa I would say you are cheating yourself if you don’t choose her trek. From picking us up at the train station to telling us where we can store our big bags in town. Everything was taken care of for us above and beyond our expectations. Now to the trek! The views are so amazing and I would say do the mountain top even if it is a harder the views are worth every second. This trek will forever be etched in my memory as being one of the best in my life.
We had this trek with Giang's niece, Zo, who took us through the hidden gems of the breathtaking valley. Beautiful landscapes, stories, people, ethnicity. Experience we never ever had before. She was so open that we felt we are the part of everything happening there. I recommend everyone, safe eats, safe pathways, great support. Although I do not recommend this for kids under the age of 14. The security standards are not like any in developed countries.
