Agus was a great tour guide and Kadek our driver was very helpful. We were picked up from our villa in Legian and dropped back. It was a great way to learn more about the Balinese lifestyle. The ride itself was mainly downhill with a few hills here and there - but it wasn’t an issue.
While we did not stop at a school (as it is still school holidays), we still stopped by at a Balinese compound (Balinese house) and learnt more about the traditions over a cup of coffee.
The restaurant/warung we ate at to finish had great food and a nice view of rice fields.

This tour was so much fun! As a solo traveler, I loved being in a small group of 4 plus our awesome tour guide Eddy. The tour was so much more than just a bike ride - we stopped at a school, had breakfast and the coffee tasting at the Luwak coffee plantation (it was very cool to see the many different fruit and spice plants as well as the different types of coffee), we stopped for a lovely view of Mt. Batur, got our bikes, stopped to see some huge, gold-spinning spiders, stopped at a few temples, had a snack at a family compound, and a delicious lunch in the rice fields. Eddy is hilarious and it felt more like a friend showing you around their hometown rather than a tourist-experience. I learned so much about current-Bali culture and life from this tour, and it was a ton of fun!
Best tour in Bali! The ride itself is 90% downhill- little physical effort required on this 23KM ride.
Agus was an excellent guide who took us through the various back streets in Ubud. Along the way, we stopped at a coffee plantation, rice fields, community temple, local home w/ a nice meal to end the ride. Throughout each stop, Agus provided insights local perspectives and context about Balienese culture. He was also very mindful of our safety and ensured we were comfortable every step of the way.
If you're going to do this tour, definitely ask to do it Agus!
This ride is well worth the money. 90% downhill and lots of stops to see the local attractions. Our guide Agus was excellent. Very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. The lunch at the end was very nice set amongst the rice fields. We would definately go again.
I was able to experience an authentic version of Bali, not the “Instagram” or “Eat Pray Love” version of Bali through this tour. Eddy, our guide, was extremely personable and funny. I enjoyed biking through the country roads, getting to see life outside of the city, and visiting a real compound and rice patties. He also told some wonderful stories of his childhood, as he grew up in the area we biked through. If you're worried about the bike ride, it is mostly downhill and Eddy made sure to go at everyone’s pace with safety at the forefront. I highly recommend this tour if you're reading this!
