I booked the Ubud cycling tour as a solo adventure via Airbnb. The trip really was special and they ran it even though I was the only person that booked that day. It was nice to not have the schedule pressure of other guests. The biking was downhill most of the way except for a few killer hills. Lunch was delicious and the stops along the way were informative. I personally could have done without the coffee tasting but I was happy to try luwak coffee and check that off my list. I left with a better understanding of Balinese culture and felt like I had managed to get outside of the Ubud tourist bubble.

Today we booked a guided bicycle tour trough the rice-fields of Ubud Bali via friends of Bali with a late lunch at the end. In was in one word 'amazing'. It started off slow. It's almost the whole time downhill so easy to do when your are not a big sports fan. The guide took us trough the local streets and local houses situated out of the busy streets of Ubud center. He gives you all the information you need to know about the traditions and habits. It was just us on our own and the guide so the tour was very personal. We had the time to stop by some amazing places and meet the local people. At the end we stopped by a local restaurant to have a meal while you are watching the rice-fields. Really beautiful. If you are searching for the breathtaking views and non-tourisic places in Ubud, this is the tour to book. A big shout out and thank you to the guid and driver for this amazing day.

We so very much enjoyed the tour. Our guide, Ogus Dogen was very fantastic guide with great enthusiasm and local knowledge, he looked after the whole group fabulously. This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Bali. Cycling through the countryside, visiting the primary school and meeting the children, then off to the local village and family compound, what an experience. I would recommend it highly if you would like to get to the know the culture and see the beauty of the hinterland. Many thanks Monika and Candice

We had a very friendly driver, Wayan, who picked us up from the resort right on time and the guide, Ofus, was knowledgeable and spoke very good English. Definitely an amazing way to spend the afternoon. Lunch was a traditional Indonesian meal which was included and tasted delicious! We highly recommend this tour ️
