Best time maximiser: the only 2D1N cruise to start early and end late
This 2D1N cruise is one of the rare few that gives you a full two-day adventure across both Lan Ha & Ha Long Bay. While most cruises start after lunch and end by mid-morning the next day, this one kicks off bright and early at 8AM on Day 1 and wraps up at 3PM on Day 2 - giving you way more time on the water. Perfect for travellers who want to properly explore the hidden side of the bays without rushing.Unlike standard cruises that bring you to touristy stops, this one takes you to quieter areas - kayaking through secret rock tunnels, swimming in deserted lagoons, and night kayaking to spot glow-in-the-dark plankton. You'll be cruising on a small boat during the day for better access to remote areas, then check in to a cosy, traditional-style junk boat (with only 5 cabins!) for a peaceful night on the water. With group sizes kept small and passionate local guides who actually care about your experience, it's way more personal than the typical Ha Long Bay cruise. Also, if you’re continuing your journey after Cat Ba, this boat trip conveniently finishes early enough for easy transfers to spots like Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Sapa or Ha Giang. What to ExpectExplore both Lan Ha & Ha Long Bay - with lots more time on the water than standard 2D1N cruisesKayak through hidden caves, archways and lagoons (both day and night to see magical glowing plankton)Swim in quiet lagoons and beaches far from the busy tourist crowdsVisit a huge local fish farm and learn about sustainable aquacultureCycle through jungle paths and visit Viet Hai Fishing Village - a peaceful, remote communityWatch the sunset and sleep aboard a 5-cabin traditional junk boat with only max 10 guestsJoin a Vietnamese cooking demonstration on board and try your hand at squid fishing under the starsGood to KnowTour starts at 8:00AM on Day 1 and ends around 3:00PM on Day 2Day 1 (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM): Travel on a day boat (max 25 guests, no cabins) for better access to hidden spotsFrom 4:30 PM on Day 1 to the end of Day 2: Stay on a 5-cabin overnight boat (max 10 guests) for a more comfortable and intimate experienceVegetarian meals available with advance noticeGuests need to make their own way to the meeting point (no pick-ups/drop-offs included)If high tides block access to the Three Hidden Lagoons, you'll explore a different hidden lagoon instead (where parts of King Kong were filmed!)Good moderate fitness is recommended for cycling and kayaking sectionsThis tour is popular and often sells out during peak season (November to March), so we highly recommend booking at least a week in advance to secure your spots. If you’re looking to book last minute, please chat with us to check availability.Amenities/facilitiesRooms are basic and no-frills, but comfortable, with all the essentials including a private bathroom and air-conditioning (available from 6:00 PM to 1:00 AM, in line with environmental regulations; after that, fans are provided to ensure comfort and a quiet night’s sleep). All equipment provided: kayaks, snorkel gear, dry bags, towelsAll meals included: 2 lunches, 1 dinner, 1 breakfastWe warmly invite guests to stop by our office anytime between 7:30 AM and 9:00 PM the day before for a friendly briefing on the itinerary and cruise conditions, so everything is clear and hassle-free.

Phuc and his team started this company in 2016 with a simple goal: to give travellers real, local experiences at a price that won’t break the bank. With carefully crafted itineraries and a friendly, attentive staff, they take you off the beaten path to explore Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay in a way that feels personal and authentic.
