Catch waves in Da Nang and Hoi An - from beginner to advanced
Da Nang and Hoi An are some of the best spots in Vietnam to surf at, with waves all year round. Whether it’s your first time surfing or you’re looking to improve your skills, this surf lesson is designed for all levels.From April to September, smaller, more consistent waves make it perfect for beginners and those refining their skills. From September through winter, larger swells bring more exciting conditions for advanced surfers.With flexible locations between Da Nang and Hoi An, your ISA-certified instructors will choose the best beach location based on the conditions, so you’ll always get the best waves possible. Led by Robert, the team focuses on building confidence, sharing knowledge, and making sure you have fun in the water - with each session tailored to your level and guided every step of the way.What to ExpectIntroduction/Warm-up/On-land Instruction (20-25 minutes): Meet your coach, get a safety briefing and equipment intro, warm up those muscles, and learn paddling, stance, and pop-up techniques on the beach.In-water Practice (60 minutes): Paddle out with your instructor, catch some waves, get feedback, and feel that surfer stoke.Cool-down & Wrap-up (5-10 minutes): Head back to shore, cool down with some stretches, rinse your board, and get some tips for your next surf session.TipsWear comfortable swimwear. A Lycra rash vest or t-shirt is recommended for sun protection.Minors should wear long-sleeved swimwear and a hat.Your host will determine the best surf spot in Da Nang or Hoi An based on the weather forecast and will send you the location via Google Maps.There are two main seasons. The specific season can affect wave size, so be sure to check in with your instructor for the best seasonal recommendations!Small wave season (April to September): Perfect for beginners and those refining their skills, with smaller, more consistent waves.Big wave season (September through Winter): Larger swells arrive with hurricane season, creating thrilling conditions for advanced surfers.Level up your skillsA single 90-minute class is perfect for fun and getting a feel for surfing. However, if you're serious about improving your skills, consider booking a combo of 3 classes for more practice and progress. Combo add-ons available!

    If it's just light rain we can go surfing, as you’re going to get wet anyway! Some of the best waves come with the rain! However, if the rain is heavy we may need to reschedule the surf session.

Robert started Go Surfing in 2019 along the central coast of Vietnam, in Da Nang and Hoi An. He and his team focus on creating a safe, fun, and enjoyable experience for anyone keen to try surfing, whether it's their first time or they’re looking to improve. With ISA-certified instructors, they offer both group and private lessons tailored to different skill levels. Robert has built a welcoming environment where adults and kids alike can learn at their own pace. His approach is all about sharing knowledge, building confidence, and helping people enjoy the waves. Whether you're a beginner or an intermediate surfer, Robert and his team are there to guide you every step of the way.
