One of few Komodo sails with a visit to a local artisan village
If you want a social Komodo trip with a little more than the usual island-hopping, this is one of our favourite picks. It’s one of the pioneering traditional phinisis in Komodo with a floating sea pool, and the only boat on Seek Sophie that takes you to meet local Komodo woodcarvers. So alongside the dragons, snorkelling and epic viewpoints, you’ll get to see how traditional wooden Komodo sculptures are carved by hand - a side of the islands most travellers miss! This is also one of our larger shared boats, with around 20–24 guests, so we especially like it for solo travellers or anyone keen to meet people along the way. There’s plenty of space to hang out together on the sun deck, take the SUPs out, jump in for a snorkel or set up the floating pool right in the sea!The cabins are surprisingly comfy too. Guests often tell us they feel more like a boutique hotel than a boat, with AC, blackout curtains, ensuite bathrooms and hot water.Food is another highlight. The chef gets great feedback and is happy to adapt dishes to your preferences — whether you’d like less sugar or spice, or need vegetarian options. The crew are known for being warm and attentive, and there’s even a photographer onboard capturing the trip by GoPro and drone, so you can come home with great footage without spending the whole trip behind your phone.Pick this if you want the classic Komodo adventure, but also want a fun, social boat you’ll actually enjoy spending time on, plus a little more local culture thrown in.Note: If you’re looking to charter this boat privately for your family or friends, check it out here. What to Expect3D2N sailing through Komodo National ParkSee Komodo dragons in the wildTrek to iconic viewpoints and hidden covesSnorkel in some of Komodo’s clearest watersMeet local Komodo woodcarvers and see their craft up closeSail aboard a beautifully crafted traditional phinisiSpacious deck for hanging out and meeting other travellersSUPs and a floating sea pool when conditions allowBeautiful sunsets from the boatAll meals, snacks and non-alcoholic drinks includedKomodo New UpdatesThe Komodo National Park Authority has issued new regulations which require visitors to preregister and pay for their park fees in advance in order to secure their entry, previously park fees were collected directly from customers on the day of the trip. As a result we have included the national park fee into the price of the listing as of 4 March 2026.Due to a significant increase in fuel prices in Labuan Bajo—rising from IDR 14,200 to IDR 23,600 per liter as of 18 April 2026—a fuel surcharge of IDR 500,000 per person will apply for trips starting from 01 May 2026. This surcharge applies to all trips, including existing bookings that have already been fully paid, as it was not included in the original trip price. Please note that the fuel surcharge may be adjusted in the future should fuel prices increase further.Boat Facilities & AmenitiesYear Renovated: 2024Cabins: 2 Master Cabin, 4 Deluxe Cabin, 4 Superior Cabin - all airconditioned, ensuite bathrooms with hot waterCapacity: 20 pax (24 maximum with extra beds)Spacious deck for relaxation and socialisingSnorkelling gear and life jackets providedPaddleboard and floating poolKaraoke setMinibarNotesThe floating pool will be set up out at sea, but its availability depends on tide and current conditions to ensure guest safety and comfort.
