Looking for a truly secluded stay that feels like stepping into a “Hill Lord” retreat? This homestay is tucked away from the main road, surrounded by lush gardens where you’re invited to wander through vegetable patches and pick fruit straight from the trees. It’s the perfect hideaway for anyone wanting to escape the crowds and sink into peace, nature, and slow mountain living.Plus, you'll stay with a warm and welcoming Red Dao family who are happiest when they see you feeling comfortable and at home. Their herbal bath is something special — a tribe recipe that makes you feel twice as youthful, five times stronger, and ten times smarter (okay, we might be a bit biased, but honestly, it’s that good!). If you’ve tried spa baths in Ta Van, you’ll definitely notice the difference. Ready for a proper herbal soak that leaves you feeling revitalised? We thought so! And it’s not just the stay that draws you in. Day 1 takes you on a scenic motorbike ride through valleys and rice terraces, while day 2 brings a trek through bamboo forest to hidden waterfalls. Altogether, it’s a beautifully balanced escape — part restful retreat, part gentle adventure — that awakens your senses and leaves you feeling refreshed, grounded, and inspired. What to ExpectSettle into a cozy wooden bungalow at May's charming homestay, a haven filled with warmth and traditional charm.Embark on a scenic motorbike journey through breathtaking valleys, stopping as you please to capture photos of the unforgettable landscapes.Venture into remote villages, forging genuine connections with locals and experiencing their way of life.Trek through lush bamboo forests and discover hidden waterfalls, taking a refreshing dip if you're feeling adventurous.Indulge in delicious home-cooked meals, savoring the authentic flavors of Red Dao cuisine.Unwind with a traditional herbal bath, soothing your muscles after a day of exploration.Learn about Red Dao traditions and customs through engaging conversations with May and her family.Good to KnowThe homestay is located in Giang Ta Chai Village, around 14km (~40 minutes) from Sapa town.Pickup and dropoff services to the homestay are not included but can be arranged for an additional fee.FacilitiesCosy bungalows with all-wood design, handcrafted furniture, and colorful decor for a warm, homey feelFans included in all bungalows. Meet your host

Hi there! I'm May, a Red Dao woman living near Sapa. About 20 years ago, I began selling handmade brocade to tourists and learned so much from them, even Vietnamese! Life changed when a special guest (now family!) helped us start a homestay. I'd love to show you the stunning mountain scenery around my village and share my Red Dao culture. We can even take motorbike trips to remote villages!
