Even if short on time, there's no reason to skimp on expert guides & yummy food!
This 2D2N trek is the fastest way to climb Mount Rinjani via the classic Sembalun route and with only one night of camping. Rinjani treks are pretty much the same, but what really makes the experience different is the guide team you climb with. And your host here is widely considered one of the best on the mountain. They’re known for taking exceptional care of their guests - from making sure you have all the gear you need, to ensuring you're very well fed throughout the trek. While most mountain food is simple, your host is famous for serving some of the best meals you’ll find on Rinjani, which makes a big difference after a long day of hiking. What really sets them apart is their attitude towards the mountain itself. They regularly collect trash along the trail - not just from their own group, but from other groups as well. If they’re making a living from the mountain, they believe they should help protect it too. What to expectPick-up anywhere in Lombok1 night at Rudy’s guesthouse before the trekSummit Rinjani via the Sembalun routeCamp at the Sembalun Crater RimAmazing plated food when you're on the mountainIncludes guide fees, porters (to carry the cooking gear and camping equipment), meals, camping, equipment, and one night of accommodation before your climb at Rudy's Guesthouse so that you'll be well rested before your climb!Amenities:Guest House: private room with ensuite bathroom and hot shower; fan and AC in roomCamping: sleeping bag, mattress, pillow and waterproof tent; toilet tent set up at each camping locationAbout the Sembalun RouteThe Sembalun route is the fastest way to reach Mount Rinjani’s summit, which is why it’s the most popular choice for trekkers who want to summit in a shorter timeframe. On this route, you hike from Sembalun village up to the Sembalun Crater Rim, where you camp for the night with sweeping views over the volcano. In the early hours of the morning, you’ll make the summit push to Rinjani’s peak (3,726m) in time for sunrise, before descending back down to finish the trek.Available Add-onExtra personal porter for individual luggage carrying, maximum 30kgs/porterPickup or drop off for locations such as Labuhan Poh, Kores, Tembowong Harbour, Ekas, and Selong Belanak

Meet your host

Rudy first started as a porter on Mount Rinjani, and saw how his beloved mountain was polluted by trash. Eventually, he saved enough to start his own guiding company. Determined to make a difference, he trained his guides in responsible practices to address the mountain's pollution. His team not only cleans up their own waste but also that of other groups, setting a positive example. Rudy's skilled guides went on to establish their own responsible companies, creating a network of eco-conscious businesses in Rinjani. By choosing Rudy's team, you're not just getting an amazing climb, you're directly supporting a cleaner Rinjani and a more responsible tourism industry.
