Hantu Island
Visiting Hantu Island

Why go
Pulau Hantu is a tiny island off the coast of Singapore. The marine biodiversity here is so rich that the government had plans to create a marine sanctuary here - but the plans were dropped after opposition from conservationists. The coolest thing about Pulau Hantu is that most locals don't even know it exists!
What to do or see here
You can do intertidal walks here to spot the incredibly rich marine life (do it with a naturalist so you can see more!), or take a yacht here to chill and just see the island. It's a tiny island that you can explore in under 30 mins! Most divers in Singapore will come here for their dives, though the visibility here isn't great.
Best Time to Go
Try to go during dry season from April to November, because there's not a huge amount of shelter or anything to do here really if it's pouring. If you come on a yacht you can still chill in the yacht and do a BBQ if it rains. But if you come here for a walk or just an explore, it'll be pretty boring in the rain.
Who is it for?
Anyone who wants to see a really different side of Singapore that most locals haven't heard of.
It's also great for marine life so if you love wildlife, this is one of the best places for an intertidal walk!
