Review Body: All five points! It was my treasure discovery in Shangri-La! The tent environment is spotless, the service of the B&B companions is very good, the dinner and breakfast are very delicious, and the scrambled eggs for breakfast are the most delicious I have had in many years of traveling. In the B&B, you can drink homemade wines from all over Yunnan. We tried the one named after the boss's daughter, it was great! I think the boss is doing something with all his heart, creating a relaxing, warm and cozy inn in Shangri-La for travelers! On the day of departure, all the friends in the B&B saw me off, I was very touched! If I have the chance, I would like to go back and live there.

Review Body: A perfect experience! Our family of four booked a three-day, two-night Tibetan-style king-size room and a hiking and horseback riding itinerary. The rooms and public spaces are very distinctive, the French dinner is excellent, and the experience of riding through the primeval forest is especially unforgettable. The scenery along the way is beautiful, and we felt the pristine nature and the unpredictable beauty of the climate. My 15-year-old eldest son and my 5-year-old youngest son both miss me when they came back! Thank you very much to the housekeeper Lan Yu, the guide Lu Ke, and the beautiful chef, auntie, etc. Your peaceful smile touches our hearts.

Review Body: For my last night in Shangri-La, I chose to stay at Liuda Farm, and I absolutely loved the ambiance. William and Summer shared so many stories with us about the brand and the muleteers. Everyone here was incredibly kind, warm, and welcoming ❤️. The breakfast was plentiful, and for dinner, we had a yak hotpot at the farm which was exceptionally delicious—every piece of meat was large and substantial. The two of us ate until we were completely full, and we're still thinking about it, haha! 🥰 So grateful for this encounter! Looking forward to seeing you again next time ^_^

Review Body: The stay was extremely comfortable, and the environment was wonderful. The courtyard was a great place to relax, and there's a temple nearby called Tenpo-ji. Although the tent rooms shared toilets and showers, everything was very clean, and everything you needed was there. I usually travel on a budget when I travel solo, so I don't book particularly expensive accommodations, but this place was excellent value for money. I'd definitely come back next time!

Review Body: The stay was very comfortable. You can see the sheep outside the window while lying in bed. The fireplace was cool. It was nice to walk around. The food was delicious, especially the yak hotpot. The beef was very tender, the dipping sauce was very good, and the wine was also delicious. The staff are very friendly and the boss is very nice.

Review Body: Without Constantin's love for the land, we wouldn't have been able to witness such a top-notch presentation of the fusion of local culture and the spirit of adventure. Thank you! It was a wonderful two nights. I'll definitely go caravanning next time I have the chance!

Review Body:

Review Body: I stayed in a tent this time, and I thought it would be cold, but it wasn't cold at all. It was a unique experience. What I'll never forget is coming out of the tent at night to a sky full of stars, where all I could hear was my own breathing and the sound of horses grazing. There's a beautiful grassland down from the farm, and the breakfast was delicious. For me, the experience was more than enough. That night on the grassland will forever remain in my heart.

Itinerary

Itinerary Day 1
Itinerary Summary: A full-day immersion in Ringha Valley, exploring Tibetan homes, sacred temples, and pastoral mountain life, ending with a dinner in a remote farmhouse setting.
Itinerary Description: Walk through Ringha Valley, passing barley fields, grazing yaks, Tibetan homes and quiet village trails with mountain views all around. Continue through the valley’s pastoral landscape, with a sense of local life shaped by farming. The valley also sits within the historic Tea Horse Road region, once used by traders and caravans moving between Tibet and Yunnan. The same terrain and mountain paths you walk today are connected to that history. Stop for a picnic lunch in the valley. See traditional Tibetan homes and observe how families live closely with their animals, often keeping livestock on the lower level while living above, offering a way of life that is very different from what you see in the cities. Visit a local temple of deep cultural significance before arriving at Liotard’s Farmhouse. The day ends with a French-style 3-course dinner in a quiet mountain setting.

Escape touristy Shangri-La for yak-filled valleys and Tibetan village life.
Most visitors to Shangri-La stay around the old town and famous sights. But less than an hour away, you’ll find a completely different side of Shangri-La: quiet Tibetan villages, barley fields, grazing yaks and huge mountain valleys. This day takes you into Ringha Valley to experience the pastoral Tibetan countryside away from the tourist crowds. Walk along village trails and through open grasslands, visit Tibetan homes and a local temple, and learn how people have farmed and lived in these highlands for generations. Along the way, stop for a picnic surrounded by mountains and hear how the ancient Tea Horse Road and the pastoral way of life has shaped this valley for generations.End the day at a beautifully restored Tibetan farmhouse tucked into the valley. After a day in the mountains, sit down to a three-course dinner made with local ingredients - a special end to a much quieter side of Shangri-La.What to ExpectGuided walk through Ringha ValleyWalk through Tibetan villages, barley fields and open grasslandsSee grazing yaks and huge mountain landscapesVisit Tibetan homes and a local village templeLearn about pastoral life and Tea Horse Road heritagePicnic surrounded by mountain sceneryThree-course dinner at a restored Tibetan farmhouseGood to KnowModerate walking on village trails and uneven terrainComfortable walking shoes recommendedBring warm layers and sun protection as mountain weather changes quicklyTakes place at approximately 3,200m altitude

Lerne deinen Gastgeber kennen
