Special thanks to Yana , our tour guide. She was great, so friendly and enthusiastic, our boat skipper and snorkling guide ( sorry could not catch the name correctly) and our driver , mr Sam, who made the day very special.

Had a great time climbing Rinjani with my guide Bruno and porter Adi. Bruno’s enthusiasm was fantastic and really made the 2 days super special.  Rudy’s guesthouse was also very incredibly welcoming both before and after the climb which helped make the whole trip seamless.

The adventure of a lifetime! Cannot recommend Rudy Trekker enough. Three days before I started the hike I got very sick, so I wasn't in great condition when we started. But our guide Kabul and his team of porters always made sure I was safe and supported. The tour company provides any and all equipment you might need on the trek. And the guesthouse you stay at on the first night is soooo nice. Huge and clean room with pools overlooking the jungle and ocean. The trekking was so difficult but so worth it. The most beautiful views I have ever seen. Watching the sunrise over the crater rim is a moment I will remember my whole life. And as a bonus, all the food in the trails was amazing!! Seriously impressed at how they whip up such delicious dishes in the wild. If you're considering hiking Rinjani, definitely go with Rudy Trekker!

Juni was amazing, inspired by the organisation and the mission they are on to put women in work and education, as guides despite any odds! I met Junis family on the tour, beautiful people in general. The hike was enough for me, maybe 2-3 hours. I would highly recommend, men or women. It’s necessary to support our sisters in creating opportunities for the future generations :) I loved everything about it and I will definitely bare them in mind, recommend them to any fellow travellers and keep in touch, maybe I’ll be back ;) even had my grab driver come with me on the tour for the day, great day!

From the moment we stepped into the forest, it felt like entering a completely different world. Our guide, Razaak was incredibly knowledgeable, inspiring and passionate with his own tales of growing up in the forest. We foraged as we walked, tasting unique native fruits and plants we’d never even heard of before!

The highlight was gathering ingredients ourselves and then cooking together right there in the forest. We made a delicious papaya curry from scratch, adjusting the spice level to our liking, which made it feel really personal and interactive. Sitting down to eat a meal we had helped create, surrounded by nature, was something special. Not to mention it was absolutely delicious (coming from someone who is a bit picky)..

We also learned how palm sugar is made the traditional way, which gave us a whole new appreciation for it. And the coffee was the freshest and most flavorful we’ve ever tasted.

What really made the experience stand out was how immersive and authentic it felt. It wasn’t just a tour; it was a hands-on introduction to local traditions and the natural environment.

If you’re looking for something unique, meaningful, and genuinely unforgettable, this is it. Couldn’t recommend it more highly and can't stop talking about it!
