Review Body: Gordon was a great guide on our intertidal walk at Changi. Went with our three kids and Gordon was super patient and entertained all their questions and enthusiastic sightings of rubbish (literal rubbish) and would get excited about kids finding special hermit crabs or shells and crabs. He engaged us well throughout the walk and could tell us a little bit about each creature we saw. Thoroughly enjoyed this and would recommend for first timers to the intertidal zone

Review Body: The intertidal tour was an amazing and memorable adventure for our family. Our guide was wonderful and she could answer all the questions about the marine life we discovered, especially our 4.5 yo kiddo was full of questions. It was an interesting experience to be up close with the animals, see, touch and even hold sea cucumbers, sea urchins, starfish, mussels, oysters and many more. We definitely recommend this tour, big thumbs up!!! Thanks Team SeekSophie!

Review Body: Our guide Fatin was very knowledgeable in the marine life at the intertidal walk. With young kids in our group, she also made extra effort to engage the little ones to ensure they are comfortable to walk in the mud (and rain in our trip) and also made sure everybody saw and learnt abt what was spotted. the group size was kept small and it was ez to hear the facts that was shared with us. An eye opening experience!

Review Body: ZY was engaging and the tour was good! We learnt about the biodiveristy of the intertidal zones and got the chance to spot some of the different species. It’s quite sad to see so many members of public picking the hermit crabs and putting the seashells in baskets but hopefully there is enough education to remind them to put it back. One tip is to go for the night tours where the sea creatures are more active.

Review Body: My 4.5 yr old daughter and I had a wonderful time at the low tide exploration. We learned a lot and had great fun discovering various types of sea cucumber and starfish (amongst others). Thanks to Xiaoyun we saw so many animals that we would have never spotted otherwise! She was a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide that was able to engage kids and adults at the same time.

Review Body: Booking and confirmation were straightforward and fast. The trip itself was comfortable, mud at Pasir Ris was not distressing at all for 2 kids (8 and 5 yo). We had a guide to 6 participants which was very comfortable. The guides leading the different groups worked together and shared locations of animal sightings. Overall, an eye opening trip! Thank you Noelle!

Review Body: Very worth the money paid! Guide was very knowledgeable, clear explanation on the marine creatures. We would never know how to spot those marine creatures which are constantly hidden. My child had so much fun. The guide and children also helped to pick up rubbish along the way. Great efforts to keep the beaches clean!

Explore tide pools with marine expert!
Here's your chance to see the ocean up close, teeming with tiny sea creatures you never knew existed. Led by a passionate marine expert, you'll explore the tide pools that get exposed during low tide, and maybe even gently touch some of the critters. Kids will love it, and adults will feel like kids again! Just remember, these are wild animals, so a little respect goes a long way. What to expectMeet the locals (the underwater kind): Spot sea stars, crabs, maybe even a little octopus!Guided exploration: Your guide knows the best spots and how to be gentle with the creatures.Learn as you go: Discover fascinating facts about marine life and how to protect it.It's not just looking: This is a hands-on (sometimes!) experience for the curious.Leave it better than you found it: Guides are big on conservation, you might even join a beach cleanup.Important Note and FAQs Coastal habitats are fragile and extra precaution should be taken to avoid damaging the ecosystem. Your guide will show you the way. Do note that this is not a tour and some form of participation will be needed to ensure a holistic experience. Come with an adventurous spirit! Here are some commonly asked questions on the experience:"𝙄𝙨 𝙞𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙢𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙤𝙪𝙘𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙨?"The animals that are being touched are done so gently and with respect. If animals are not safe to be picked up (e.g. if touching them harms them because of the oil from our fingers), they will not be touched or picked up."𝘼𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙛𝙤𝙤𝙩𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙥𝙨 𝙝𝙪𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢?"The experience takes place on a public beach, and on any given day there are many people there. So it's actually for the better that these guides are there, acting as watchful protectors over the area. Not only do they ensure that the participants are treating the animals with respect, they will also kindly educate the general public if they see that they might be stressing out the animals. The facilitators are well trained in ensuring participants pay attention to where they step and do not mindlessly trample on the animals. In fact, it's actually the litter on the beaches that pose a much bigger threat and disruption to the marine environment, which is why beach clean-ups are important! "Is this really a sustainable way of seeing the marine life?" As with anything to do with sustainability, there is no perfect answer, but on balance we do believe that this is an important way to educate ourselves on how to sustainably interact with marine life. Education is crucial in promoting wildlife and environmental conservation. If none of these educational tours exist, people would not know how to treat the animals. And even if the public had good intentions, they might end up harming the animals even more. So by having these tours, the guides not only educate our young ones and help them foster a greater appreciation for marine life, but also regularly advise people against these and educate on how to treat marine life properly. They don’t collect these animals for aquarium trade nor catch these animals for food. They also conduct regular beach clean-ups, marine ecology lessons and participate in efforts to reduce our impact on the environment. Please be assured that these guides really care for the marine life and will do whatever they can to uphold best practices and support conservation — which education is a powerful tool in doing, and is the primary goal of these tours.
