Review Body: We had a great 4hrs kayaking and learning about Pulau Ubin with Jacklyn. The kayaking was good , we first kayaked past the island and then into the mangroves and saw a kingfisher in flight, and then a grey heron and a white bellied eagle on the way back, searching for fish, with a large wing span . Thank you Jacklyn for a great kayaking trip and telling us about the history of Pulau Ubin island and the surrounding area . The stop for cold drinks half way was enjoyable and was just what I certainly needed !

Review Body: An excellent experience on the doorstep of Singapore's hustle and bustle but makes for a chilled and relaxing contrast. Our guide, Ben, was knowledgeable, friendly and kept us safe throughout our kayak journey past the busy fish farms and subsequent exploration of the much more tranquil mangroves. Well worth it and would repeat on subsequent visits to Singapore

Review Body: This was the second time I’ve done this trip with Asian Detours and it was EVEN BETTER this time! Our guide John was super knowledgeable and was paddling around finding all kinds of crabs and stuff for us to see. He even scooped up a jelly fish!!! Such a cool experience.

Review Body: Absolutely loved this tour. Definitely not for total beginners as you're out for quite a bit but not a moment was wasted - our host was super knowledgeable and was able to talk about the local ecosystem and point out specific plants and animals for us as well as talk more about the history of the area as a whole. Really great to give us excellent context for the rest of our trip through the area. Make sure you take the sun safe tips / clothing recommendations they give you seriously, as the trip is in quite open sky environment rather than through dense shaded estuary/mangroves.

Review Body: This was a real adventure and so different from the usual sightseeing trip! The journey to Pulau Ubin takes you through parts of Singapore that you would probably not otherwise see and Pulau Ubin is so peaceful and different from downtown. Our kayak trip was safely managed with good guidance and advice from the tour leader, Lee. We learnt lots from him about the local area as we paddled around Pulau Ketam and saw egrets and sea eagles on the way. We even managed a short stop and visited the German Girl Shrine. A really different, but very enjoyable day out on the water.

Itinerary Description: Safety briefing The journey begins with a short length of open sea kayaking before entering the mangroves. You will immediately notice a sharp difference between the choppy open sea waves and tranquil calm waters among the mangroves. Do not be fooled by the peacefulness as inactivity because the mangroves are abuzz with wildlife! For bird-watching enthusiasts, you will be able to spot species such as the Kingfishers, Eagles, Hornbills, Herons and Egrets – and that is just to name a few.

Specially designed for all adventure seekers, this 4-hour kayaking trip is your perfect introduction to the Pulau Ubin mangroves!The journey begins with a short length of open sea kayaking before entering the mangroves. You will immediately notice a sharp difference between the choppy open sea waves and tranquil calm waters among the mangroves. Do not be fooled by the peacefulness as inactivity because the mangroves are abuzz with wildlife! For bird-watching enthusiasts, you will be able to spot species such as the Kingfishers, Eagles, Hornbills, Herons and Egrets – and that is just to name a few.Meeting PointLocated at 34 Pulau Ubin, the meeting point is a short 1 min walk from the jetty. Upon arriving via the ferry, cross the boardwalk and take a left. Walk on until a house painted white on your right.Important NotesMinimum 2 adults for the programme to operate.The programme operates in both dry and wet weather.Children must be at least 7 years old to participate, and accompanied by an adult.Covered shoes are mandatory.Participants WILL get wetFor the safety of all participants, a mandatory floatation test will be conducted before kayaking.The operator stresses the importance of bringing and wearing the right gear for this activity.
