Highlights
Take a private guided trip to Singapore's last remaining Kampong village, where overhead cables hang above wooden attap houses. Follow Kyanta (your guide) along as he brings meaning to an otherwise unassuming kampong complex, sharing information on how Singapore transformed from a simple fishing village to the thriving city it is today. As he greets and chats with the kampong residents, you'll slowly get swept up in a sense of nostalgia and kinship over the now-forgotten Kampong spirit where everyone knew their neighbours well! At the end of the tour, challenge each other to old-school games such as Five Stones & Pick-up Sticks in one of the Kampong houses, as well as play zero-point and rubber-band skipping out in the yard.Kids-FriendlyThere's no minimum age for this experience - it is a private trip so you can go as quickly or slowly as you like. This is an enriching family trip out as it covers certain Primary 3/4 MOE topics, giving students the opportunity to bring their studies to life! Learn about the way of life on the kampong as well as how Singapore transformed into the high-rises today and the sacrifices that were made to achieve that — it is extra meaningful when parents also share their own personal Kampong anecdotes with their children!Do note that Kampong Lorong Buangkok is a residential area, and less so of a tourist attraction. Please be considerate and mindful when touring the premises.

About Your Host

Let's Go Tour
Let's Go was founded by Robin Loh and Daniel Tan, a couple of friends who were so inspired by a biking experience in Bangkok that they wanted to create authentic experiences in Singapore as well. Fuelled by a passion to reveal Singapore's hidden gems through a fresh lens, they started offering experiences from a small shophouse in Chinatown, armed with nothing but determination and a spark of potential. Little did they know that this leap of faith would ignite an adventure of a lifetime!
