Review Body: The tour with our guide Alex was the highlight of our trip to Vietnam so far, and one of the best travel experiences we have ever had! We would not have been able to find most of these awesome food spots on our own. They were all loved by the locals and would have been hard to get into without our guide. Alex took care of ordering which meant we didn’t wait long at each place, and also tailored food picks for dietary requirements, which is not easy when travelling. We loved Alex’s knowledge and love of Hanoi food culture. This tour gave us the chance to eat some dishes we wouldn’t find on our own, and some classics like pho with the reputation of being the best in the area according to the locals. All in all, must try!

Review Body: Nick is a fine young man who speaks and holds himself well. He was incredibly attentive to our group’s comfort throughout our tour, always making sure to seat us where there was good ventilation given how warm the weather was. He was also highly mindful of our dietary needs, taking great care with allergies and vegetarian requirements. We loved how he shared what locals typically have for breakfast and lunch, while also asking about our own home countries and food cultures. Anyone assigned to Nick for this tour can look forward to a good experience and great recommendations. We really enjoyed our walking food tour with him, especially the bún chả and mango dessert.

Review Body: Brilliant tour, even after 6 weeks of eating our way through Vietnam! My partner and I had a great time on this street food tour! Bob, our guide, was awesome, spoke perfect English, made us laugh and made sure we had fun throughout the 3 hours together. We’d already been travelling in Vietnam for six weeks and had eaten loads of Vietnamese food, but we were still surprised by new dishes on the tour. Everything we tried was amazing and super tasty. At the end, Bob gave us a list of recommendations, which has been really helpful for the rest of our time here. We left very full and very happy. It was great value for money, and I’d highly recommend it!

Review Body: We had already been in Hanoi for 4 days before the tour and really made an effort to get to know all culinary sides of Vietnam. They were really small, nice, clean, and above all, authentic food stalls where we got to taste the food. (More than the normal tourist spots from TripAdvisor or the Michelin Guide.) But Alex, our tour guide, took us to the next level. All in all, a cool tour. Alex spoke excellent English and gave us great background information on Hanoi and Vietnamese food culture. We were in a really small group. Super uncomplicated coordination via WhatsApp.

Review Body: Loved that we could get a local's perspective on Hanoi’s incredible food scene! It was such a great way to dive deeper into the city’s culinary culture, and it was interesting to hear the history and stories behind each iconic dish, which gave me a whole new appreciation for the food. What made it even more special was that apart from some of the more well known stores that we went to, our guide brought us to hidden gems that I never would have found on my own. If you’re a foodie, this experience is the perfect blend of exploring and eating your way around Hanoi!

Review Body: Alex was a great guide. Took us to some great places and certainly had more than enough food to eat. The highlight had to be the Pho place we went to - sitting in someone's lounge room and eating Pho because they can't serve on the street anymore. The lady that made it has been making Pho for the last 32 years and she even served Jensen Huang - the CEO of Nvidia. It is some of the best Pho I've tasted. Went in full and not intending to eat much of it but ended up finishing the whole bowl. Alex did a great job telling he story and finding the great places to eat.

Review Body: This tour was amazing!! It was the first thing I did in Vietnam, and I'm so glad. All of the food was incredible, and I left so full and excited to try more! Linh was our tour guide, she was so fun, and incredibly knowledgeable on Vietnamese history and culture, and made the small group tour an awesome first experience in Vietnam. She gave us context for each dish we tried, had so many stories that gave the tour so much depth, and I left with a better understanding of Vietnamese food, history, and tradition! I couldn't recommend this tour more!

Review Body: We had a fantastic experience! Our tour guide Lucky was enthusiastic in sharing Hanoi and its wonderful street food. We did our tour in a small group of 4 which made for a tailored, more personal experience. We requested to go on a quest to try the best Bun Cha, and boy, it was amazing. Much better than the one we had ourselves without a tour guide. We even learnt how to eat it properly, which was handy! It was also a great way to meet like minded travellers and get an insight into everyday life in Hanoi! 11/10!

Review Body: Tried a good range of local food in the Old Quarter, all of which was excellent! The pho was the best I've had in my life. Some of the stalls we visited were fairly large and established, and others were down a hidden valley or in a nondescript corner, with hygiene and taste being the primary concerns. Our guide Alex was very friendly and passionate about food. She also shared a bit about her background which helped us to better understand Vietnamese culture. Would highly recommend especially for solo travelers.

Review Body: The food tour in Hanoi was one of the best. We did food tours in Thailand, Jakarta and the Philippines and the food tour in Hanoi was a lot of fun and a lot of food. Tracey, our tour guide was very organized, very knowledgeable and a lot of fun. She kept us laughing. The food and drink were all great, although a bit exotic. The group consisted of 3 from England, 2 from Scotland, 2 from Canada and 1 American. We all had a great time. I highly recommend this tour.

Review Body: We had such an amazing time exploring old quarter with Alex! The sights were beautiful and lively and every dish we tried was truly delicious. It was nice that each dish was fairly small but we got to try so many. This is definitely a full meal so come hungry! Alex was an incredible guide too and we felt much safer trying the street foods with them. This tour will definitely be a highlight of our entire trip. Thank you for sharing your culture and food with us!!

Review Body: Lyon was an absolute delight. By the end of the evening, he had become like family. He was very knowledgeable about the local Hanoi cuisine and took us to so many family-run restaurants, ones that had some of his favorite foods, that we couldn't possibly eat any more by the end of the evening. We were so full. Most dishes we tried were things we had never heard of before, and we would never have known to order them or from where. Highly recommend!

Review Body: We loved our Street Food Tour in Hanoi with Alex! Getting to taste real authentic food and talk to a local was all we wanted from our time on Hanoi. Alex was so kind and considerate. My husband is veggie, I'm gluten free and we even had our 10 month old daughter with us and none of that was an issue. The tour was tailored specifically to us and Alex even held our baby so we could eat properly. Thank you Alex for such a wonderful experience :)

Review Body: We had an incredible time with our guide Linh. She was incredibly knowledgeable and kind, answering all our questions and teaching us so much not only about the food but also about Hanoi and Vietnamese culture. All the food we ate was incredible, at local spots we would have never found ourselves and we tried so many interesting dishes we would have otherwise never got to experience. Thanks so much for a wonderful time!

Review Body: We had a wonderful time during this tour. Our guide Lily was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and each place we visited. We went to places that we would never find on our own and Lily shared information about each place. The food was great. Don’t want to give away all the places your will eat at. Nice to be surprised. I would recommend this tour and a guide like Lily is an added bonus.

Review Body: Our foodtour was with Alex, who made our experience so special. We were brought to places we would‘ve never found by ourselves and every single spot was delicious. It was definitely one of my favourite experiences of my Vietnam Holiday. Alex also recommended a few things in Sapa and Hanoi that were personalised to our interests and showed us a few landmarks on the way!

Maak kennis met je host

Hi, I’m Jonathan Ngo. Growing up in Buon Ma Thuot, Vietnam’s coffee capital, I was surrounded by coffee farms and the dedicated farmers who bring each bean to life. That connection inspired me to start my business in 2023—not just to share Vietnam’s incredible coffee but to support the farmers behind it through fair-trade and sustainable practices. Workshops are just part of the experience. Join me, and you’ll step beyond the roastery to explore the real coffee culture of Hanoi. Through coffee walking tours and food tours, you’ll see how locals brew, drink, and enjoy coffee on the streets. From a classic phin drip at a tiny sidewalk café to a rich egg coffee in a hidden alley, you’ll gain a whole new appreciation for Vietnamese street coffee. For me, coffee and food are more than flavors—they’re stories of culture, tradition, and community. Through every cup and every bite, I hope to share the true heart of Vietnam with you.
