Review Body: Awanmulan holds a special place in our hearts. Accessed through the Pantai Hills Orchard Resort main Gate, there are several beautiful houses to choose from to spend a peaceful and quiet holiday away from the busyness of everyday life and demands. We spent 3 nights in Sasterawan, our second stay in this very delightful accommodation and incidentally , our fifth visit to the resort. We’re captivated at how all the houses were designed ,infact, they just seem to blend seamlessly and effortlessly with the setting ,you could see & feel the Architect’s hand in the design and the owner’s taste in all the fittings. We love the outdoor shower ,water pressure is strong with hot water, but you must remember to switch on the heater switch. The house had undergone a bit of a transformation since the last time, the wooden ceiling was painted off white and glass sliding windows had replaced the timber blinds giving it a sense of space with a view . There’s a small garden set outside, and a hammock in the living room/kitchen where you could relax with a book. The resort is exceptionally clean, with meticulous attention to details. This is seen in little touches like floral and foliage arrangement in all the houses that we have stayed in, the extra blanket on chillier nights,...the delicious breakfast, always with a touch of fresh flowers from the garden. We love going to the river and we do have a few favourite spots there. We also enjoyed our walks along the hilly road outside the grounds, some areas are steep so do go with a good pair of walking shoes. In all our holidays we have experienced such warm hospitality and generosity. Awanmulan has never failed to make us feel at home,.Returning to Awanmulan is to return to a place of quiet contentment, a place of tranquil beauty.Thank you to Mrs Teng and family. We're looking forward to our next return.

Review Body: Awanmulan was slightly difficult to find as there were virtually no signages leading towards it (it is a private property and the owners keep it that way), but we soon discovered it was nestled on the same stretch of road as the Dusun and Shorea. We booked a room for two (the Sasterawan room) and had two great days there. We were advised to bring our own food as they locked the gates at night, and it was a pretty long drive to the nearest restaurant. All kinds of cooking equipment were provided for us, even a BBQ set. Sadly it rained on that night and we didn't manage to BBQ our food but we made use of the cooking equipment and had fun cooking up a storm. We also enjoyed lying in the hammock listening to the sound of the rain. At night it is pitch black around the area, it can get pretty scary for those who are afraid of the dark, but we felt at peace with the sounds of the various insects throughout the night. It is very close to nature and the forest is just there. In the morning we took a dip in the pool and it had a perfect view of the mountains. We also chatted with the friendly owners while they were relaxing near the pool. A great place for a short and peaceful getaway.

Review Body: You definitely get what you pay for when you stay at Awanmulan- and that is, the setting for being able to relax and escape. It is in a relatively isolated place that is quite close to the rain forest, and is meant to be open and part of nature. Even the buildings are built in such a way as to include nature and the scenery, rather than to isolate vacationers from this as is typical in hotels. Do come here to rest, relax, sit, enjoy the calmness, and do nothing.Do not come here to: be disruptive to the scenery or party. Take your time to smell the flowers and pet the doggies and kitties; the owners (Mr. & Mrs. Teng) and also the representative, Patrick will be the kindest and friendliest host during your stay. Patrick went above and beyond to assist us with our request and was courteous enough to prepare delicious breakfast for his guests. We would recommend Awanmulan to everybody who is trying to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. P.S. When they say watch out for leeches after it rains on the jungle trek, do watch out for leeches!!

Review Body: This was our 2nd time back at Awanmulan. It was as good as the 1st time. We stayed at "Teratak Bonda" villa which faced the sunrise. Rooms and amenities were just perfect - a good big kitchen equipped with everything I needed, a BBQ grill that allowed be to smoke some meat, and a great view of the rainforest where we could sit on the patio and relax. Less than 20 footsteps away is a saltwater swimming pool - perfect to cool down during the hot afternoon and for kids to have fun. This is a perfect place to get away with the family - no TV, no internet, but start enjoying each others company. There were 10 of us. The bedrooms are very comfortable and cooling at night. There is no need for any air-conditioning and you feel absolutely close to nature while you slumber. The location of the place is about 20-30min away from Seremban town centre so if one didn't fancy cooking, you could eat out. I recommend this place anytime.

Review Body: Overall it was a satisfactory stay, minor hiccups here and there. Firstly the ordered meal was delivered at the wrong time. 1 of the staffs was suggesting to reheat and bring the fried fish fillets back to us for the next day lunch. Fried food+over night+reheat? prob not a good idea, good thing he didn't insist. Secondly the meals were not exactly as the website described. For example the Fried Vermicelli Noodles, aka meehoon were supposed to come with fruits (refer to picture). However it didn't. Nevertheless it was quickly rectified in the next meal, yeah, the fish fillet, and they gave us extra fruits. Last but not least, the carpark is outside, before reaching the premise entrance. Do take note if you don't wish to get rebuke even before the vacation starts. The indoor parking is for staffs only.

Review Body: Using waze to get us there wasn't a problem. The owner will provide a map beforehand in case waze fails you. Just make sure you get there early, cause the road is windy and narrow. The place itself is beautiful. Cleanliness is tip top as well. Pool water was spring water which feels amazing when you swim in it. Kitchen tools and amenities is fully equipped, so you can prepare all your meals there, i.e. bbq, steamboat. The whole idea of the place is quiet retreat, so don't expect strong wifi or cell phone reception. But I loved it. There was nothing but the sounds of crickets and birds chirping. Patrick the manager showed us around the properties the next day. It truly is a beautiful place. Can't wait to go back again.

Review Body: This place is perfect for relaxing and to be in touch with nature again. I can tell about challet Evensong, which was totally clean, comfortable and private, with the best sunset view ever. The area is quiet and safe, however if you walk around be aware that there are some dogs from other resorts barking and trying to play with you, we made 3 dog friends on the streets and 1 was trying to frighten us. So, if you are afraid better move by car. In the resort itself it`s impossible not feeling welcomed with the warm and friendly environment. Zee and his mother don`t spare efforts to make everything perfect and as easy as possible. For sure will come back and strongly recommend them.

Review Body: Truly a great place to escape from the hustle and bustle of busy city and hectic lifestyle. This is our second trip back to awanmulan and this time stayed at a different house (durian runtuh & lower unit). The house was comfortable, spacious, bright and welcoming. Again Patrick our friendly staff greeted us and brought us around the place and also brought us nice breakfast - Hakka mee from Seremban town. Time was almost always too short for 1 night there and we are definitely looking forward to go back again!

Review Body: On our 2nd visit to Awanmulan, my husband and I brought along our family with us. There were 8 of us (not including our pet Ginger!) and we took up Durian Runtuh & Rahsia for a 3D/2N getaway. It was the perfect family bonding over food & fruits (we had generous helpings of durians, rambutans and mangosteens at the estate) in addition to Mrs Teng’s (owner) kind and Patrick’s (manager) over and above hospitality! If you want a place to unplug, unwind and reconnect, I highly recommend Awanmulan.

Review Body: we love everything about it! the accommodation was great. we stayed in sasterawan. each unit got microwave, kitchenette complete with utensils and seasonings (ketchup, salt, etc). along with standard size fridge, dinner table, steamer, stove :) as there's no restaurant up hill, so we can bring things to cook/ reheat :) there're 2 pools, so just dip in whichever nearer to you :) there's no airconditioner though, but's it's a bit cold up there plus with the rainy season.

Review Body: A great weekend retreat less than 2 hours drive from KL city. Love the salted swimming pool with great views of the jungle, the comfy hammock as well as the "outdoor" shower at our unit. The hosts were friendly and provided reminders and directions before our trip. We went during rambutan season and were served rambutans from their trees! The kitchens are fully equipped for cooking, steamboat and even BBQ.

Review Body: Spent a night at Sasterawan and I love every bit of it. Driving up could be a challenge but nothing too much. Love the view so much! Will definitely come again. Thanks Isaac for the hospitality. Tips: theres a lot of food trees around so if you're lucky and you visit during the season, you get to eat the fruits too!

It was great, without distraction (and network), just focus on spending time together. Great place, it have inspired me to live a minimalistic lifestyle. Hope to visit again when we have the chance.

Review Body: Place is great to visit. Be mindful that there is only a swimming pool for you as activity. There is no data signal for your mobile phone (especially Maxis), and therefore it is a good time to bond with your love ones.
