Review Body: This tour was beyond anything we could’ve imagined. Siti was so patient and helpful in arranging travel from the US (practically impossible using trip planning apps in country).
When we arrived, her whole team was ready and the adventure began!
Zaki our guide and the rest had f the crew worked seamlessly to make sure everything was taken care of: from preparing delicious food to keep us going, to having all the permits to travel to all the treks and little corners of the national park.
Zaki was absolutely amazing, funny, kind, and intuitive. He was quick to read any and every situation and shared all his knowledge with us in the kindest way.
We were sad to see our trip end after seeing an astounding number of orangutans, monkeys, gibbon, butterflies, birds, insects, mushrooms, plants, trees, the list went on and on!
This should be at the top of everyone’s adventure of a lifetime list!

Review Body: I went on a solo trip with Siti's Tour, it was fantastic. My crew (Captain, assistant captain, cook & tour guide) were brilliant. We had incredible encounters each day with the Orangutans. The food was local and lovely. I had the houseboat all to myself, which was wonderful, I could lie on the sunbeds as we travelled up the river. I spotted wild orangutans swinging in the trees along the river, Proboscis monkeys & monitor lizards from the boat. The crew were very attentive and responsive. I had a wonderful time.

Review Body: Had a really nice day exploring Pangkalanbun and Kumai.
The visit to Istana Mangkubumi was super special because the host also my guide, Monica shared real family stories that made the place come alive. Istana Kuning was interesting too, even though the staff weren’t really around when I visited.
What made the day even better was Monica, my guide. She was friendly, easy to talk to, and shared so many real stories about the local culture, myths, and daily life. It didn’t feel scripted at all, just real and honest.
The canoe ride along the Arut River was peaceful and a really cool way to see how people live along the water.
I was actually not feeling very fit, but Monica's stories make me feel awake and energise!
Overall it’s a simple, genuine experience. Nothing fancy, but thanks to Monica, it felt personal and really memorable.

Local guide and driver met us at the hotel and we were able to change out start time to 1pm.

Review Body: Tanjung Punting Park is incredible and our experience was unforgettable. We saw a lot of wildlife. The staff was very kind and accommodating and the food was great.
The big downside of our experience on this tour, however, was that our young "guide" barely spoke any English at all and was not at all knowledgeable about wildlife. In fact, he would clap his hands loudly when we saw wildlife from the boat to try to get the animals' attention... We therefore saw many animals but with zero explanations, which is really a pity. Communicating was an issue (we often had to resort to using Google Translate to communicate important things).
I had booked this tour after reading good recommendations regarding Siti, however Siti was nowhere to be seen. I would therefore warmly recommend a boat tour of Tanjung Puting but with another company who has actual wildlife biologists/specialists.

4D3N orangutan river safari - extended itinerary to see conservation in action
This private 4D3N Orangutan houseboat tour takes you deep into the heart of Tanjung Puting National Park - but at a slower, more meaningful pace. Unlike the typical 3D2N route that rushes through feeding stations with a crowd of boats, this one gives you the space to slow down and soak in the jungle life. The extra day allows you to visit popular orangutan feeding stations like Camp Leakey at off-peak times, which means fewer tourists. Plus, you'll have plenty of time on the boat to cruise down the river for birdwatching, proboscis monkey sightings, and hornbills flying across the sky. This 4D3N includes a rare stop at Yayorin (Yayasan Orangutan Indonesia), a local non-profit that protects the forest and the orangutans by working directly with nearby communities. It’s a special chance to see real conservation work in progress - from school programmes and forest education to supporting eco-friendly income for villagers. This is perfect for nature-lovers, photographers, and slow travellers who want more meaningful than just ticking off a checklist. What to ExpectVisit 3 orangutan feeding camps: Tanjung Harapan, Pondok Tanggui, and Camp LeakeyExplore quieter river stretches with more chances to spot rare birds, monkeys, and wild orangutansExperience jungle life by day and night - enjoy firefly sightings, night walks, and early morning wildlife toursFlexible itinerary on Day 3 for forest trekking, a village visit, or just relaxing on deckVisit Yayorin, a local NGO working to protect orangutans and support communitiesFully inclusive: meals, private houseboat, guide, entrance fees, and transfersFriendly local crew including guide, captain, cook, and assistantAll meals are freshly cooked onboard - you'll be well-fed from breakfast through dinner dailyPick-up and drop-off at Kumai Port included - they'll coordinate with your hotel/airportGood to KnowTanjung Puting National Park is closed annually from 15–31 January and 1–15 June for the annual habitat recovery programThis is a private trip - just you, your crew, and the jungleExpect to spend a fair amount of time on the river — great for reading, relaxing, or wildlife watchingThe forest trails are generally flat and suitable for most fitness levels, though sturdy shoes are a good idea, plus there are leeches, so best to pack some leech socks and closed toe shoesCamp visits and wildlife encounters are dependent on local conditions and may vary slightlySwimming is not allowed in Tanjung Puting, but there’s a swimmable river near Pangkalan Bun. Your guide can take you there after the tour, depending on your flight time and with possible extra costAmenities/facilitiesTraditional klotok with mattress, mosquito net, toilet, and showerComfortable, simple sleeping setup under a covered deckRoom options: Private room with ensuite bathroom available, plus shared common spaces
