Backyard Tour started in 2015, building on a small social project that aimed to support local villagers around Kuching. Being Bidayuh herself, Abbie who is among one of the second largest indigenous groups in Sarawak—she brings genuine insight into the culture and landscapes she grew up with. What makes Abbie stand out is her commitment to making sure each experience benefits the local community. Every trip organised through Backyard Tour not connects travellers with the people and places of Borneo. She’s kept things grounded and community-focused, staying true to the roots of where it all began.
